📏 Size Guide & Finishes
🎞️ Size Guide: Pick Your "Blockbuster" Format
Whether you’re decorating a cozy "indie movie" studio or an IMAX-sized living room, we’ve got the perfect aspect ratio for your walls.
⚪ A4 : 21 x 29.7 cm (8.3 x 11.7 in) The "Grogu" Format. Small, cute, but packs a serious Force. Perfect for building a "Wall of Fame" in tight spaces.
⚪ A3 : 29.7 x 42 cm (11.7 x 16.5 in) The "Multiverse" Format. Not too big, not too small. Perfectly balanced, as Thanos would say (but without snapping half your decor away).
⚪ A2 : 42 x 59.4 cm (16.5 x 23.4 in) The "Heisenberg" Format. Now we’re cooking. This size doesn't just sit there; it’s the one who knocks on your living room door.
⚪ A1 : 59.4 x 84.1 cm (23.4 x 33.1 in) The "King Kong" Format. The Final Boss. A poster so massive it could probably stop a White Walker invasion. Go Big or Go Home.
🖼️ Finishes & Frames
Choose your art Raw (Unframed) or Upgraded in our premium aluminum armor :
- Black Aluminum: The "Dark Knight" Style. Sleek, matte, and elegant. It’s the James Bond tuxedo for your poster. A timeless classic.
- Chrome Aluminum: The "Stark Tech" Style. Polished, shiny, and futuristic. For that high-end Cyberpunk gallery vibe.
📦 Shipping & Handling
We treat your posters with more respect than John Wick treats his dog. Guaranteed no "spoilers" (or creases) upon arrival !
- A4 & A3 (Unframed): These travel flat in heavy-duty reinforced armor. More bulletproof than the A-Team van.
- A2 & A1 (Unframed): Carefully rolled in protective tissue paper and tucked into extra-strong tubes. They arrive ready to be unrolled like a Red Carpet at Cannes.
- Framed Posters (All Sizes): Maximum protection. We use specialized shock-resistant boxes and reinforced corners. Even a Fast & Furious car chase wouldn't scratch them.
🤓 The "Fine Print" (Post-Credits Scene)
Before you hit "Play" on your order, here’s a little legal fan-fiction to keep things smooth :
⚪ Visual FX vs. Reality : Just like a CGI trailer, our photos are not contractual. Colors might vary slightly in print- think of it as a "Variant" in the Multiverse.
⚪ The "Popcorn" Incident : While our name is Popcorn Poster, the actual popcorn seen in the photos is just for show. It’s not included. If we shipped real popcorn, it would be as stale as a 20-year-old VHS tape by the time it reached you.
⚪ Lights, Camera... No Action : The lighting bar featured above our frames in the photos is for dramatic effect only. It’s not part of the package. You’ll have to bring your own "Stark Industries" tech to light up your walls!
⚪ The Fan Statement : We have no official affiliation with the brands, studios, or caped crusaders featured in our designs. We’re just enthusiasts -like Peter Parker with his camera - aiming to help culture flourish.
⚪ Copyright Protocol : If any brand or "Supreme Leader" prefers not to be highlighted in our gallery, please reach out to us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll remove it faster than a glitch in the Matrix.

Paper Quality Thicker Than Valerie's Grandmother's Vampire Makeup
🎬 Why this Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970) Poster is the Real Deal 🤩
Listen, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders isn't just another cult movie gathering dust in streaming algorithm hell. It's a 1970 Czech New Wave phenomenon that continues to mesmerize audiences with its surrealist brilliance and unflinching exploration of female coming-of-age through a gothic horror lens. Directed by Jaromil Jireš and based on Vítězslav Nezval's 1935 novel, this film has achieved legendary status among cinephiles who understand that real cinema doesn't need explosions or Marvel tie-ins.
The critical reception speaks volumes. This film emerged from one of cinema's most creatively explosive periods, the Czech New Wave, where directors were pushing boundaries and rejecting commercial convention. Valerie represents the pinnacle of that movement's willingness to blend folkloric imagery, gothic horror, and intimate character study into something genuinely unsettling and beautiful. Academic analyses highlight how the film uses surrealist visual language to represent the psychological terror of female adolescence in a world controlled by predatory men.
What makes this poster essential? The imagery encapsulates the film's dual nature: dreamlike yet nightmarish, ethereal yet grotesque. Every frame carries visual weight. The cinematography itself became a reference point for how horror cinema could be simultaneously poetic and disturbing. Contemporary filmmakers cite Valerie as an influence on projects like Ginger Snaps, which similarly weaponized coming-of-age narratives through genre. That's legacy. That's impact.
Owning this poster isn't just displaying a film you appreciate. You're making a statement about your taste in cinema. You're saying you understand that true cult classics operate on different frequencies than mainstream entertainment. You've done the research. You've moved beyond the obvious choices. This poster proves it to anyone who enters your space. It's a visual credential for film geeks who refuse to settle for generic Marvel promotional material.
The surrealist aesthetic continues to resonate in 2026 because it taps into something timeless: the alienation of growing up in a world that doesn't protect you, that sexualizes you, that demands you become something you're not. Valerie's journey feels perpetually relevant because these power dynamics haven't fundamentally shifted. The film's refusal to provide easy answers or comfortable resolution makes it dangerous in the best way.
This poster captures that danger. It's not decorative window dressing. It's a declaration of allegiance to uncompromising cinema.
🍿 Why you need a Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970) poster on your wall 🤔
Here's the thing about owning a Valerie and Her Week of Wonders poster: it immediately separates your taste from everyone else's. While people are still hanging Marvel promo posters and mass-produced film prints, you've got something that proves you saw it first, understood it deeper, and refuse to compromise on visual representation.
This poster does psychological work on anyone who looks at it. It unsettles them slightly. It makes them curious. It forces them to ask questions. That's not an accident. That's intentional cinema design translated into permanent wall art. When guests encounter this image, they're not looking at pleasant decoration. They're confronting a visual philosophy about how film can be simultaneously beautiful and disturbing, dream-like and razor-sharp.
Let's be honest: posters communicate who you are before you speak. This one says you understand cinema history. You appreciate surrealism as a legitimate artistic movement, not just weird stuff that happens in indie films. You've educated yourself on global cinema beyond Hollywood's safe, predictable narrative structures. You respect craft, cinematography, and directorial vision. You're the person who actually watched the film, multiple times, and still finds new details in each viewing.
The Valerie poster works particularly hard for you because it bridges multiple audiences simultaneously. Film scholars recognize its importance. Horror enthusiasts appreciate its genre-bending approach. Surrealism devotees understand its visual language. Coming-of-age narrative fans connect with its thematic core. It's not a poster that appeals to one specific demographic. It appeals to people who think critically about visual culture.
On a practical level, this poster demands better wall real estate than your average art print. It deserves space where it can be properly seen, where its details can be appreciated, where it functions as a genuine focal point rather than background noise. You're not buying this to fill dead space. You're buying this to make a statement. Install it where it can breathe. Frame it properly. Let it do its work. The poster proves you're serious about your film collection, your interior aesthetic, and your refusal to settle for commercialized mediocrity.
📼 Stop Scrolling 🤚 Own the Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970) Collector's Print: Geeky Specs & Shipping
You're not just buying a poster. You're acquiring a piece of cinematic history printed on materials that respect both the art and your investment. This isn't mass-market printing on flimsy paper that curls the moment humidity shifts. We're talking heavyweight, museum-grade 240 g/m² premium poster paper with professional glossy finish that transforms every detail into visual gold.
The paper stock alone deserves explanation. At 240 g/m², this surpasses standard poster printing by a significant margin. That density means your colors stay vibrant, your blacks stay genuinely black, and the overall image maintains its integrity for decades, not years. The glossy finish reflects light intelligently, bringing depth to the cinematographic details that Jaromil Jireš meticulously composed. You're looking at museum-quality materials that galleries would use for their own exhibitions.
Color reproduction deserves its own mention. We've calibrated our printing specifically to honor the film's surrealist aesthetic: the dreamlike quality, the gothic shadows, the unsettling beauty that defines Valerie's visual language. Every tone, every hue has been carefully matched to ensure the poster captures the film's actual cinematic palette rather than defaulting to whatever generic color profile existed in someone's template folder.
Now, shipping logistics. Smaller formats (A4 and A3) arrive perfectly flat in reinforced protective packaging. No curls. No rolled edges that require days of flattening. You open the package and your poster is ready for immediate framing. Larger formats (A2 and A1) are carefully rolled in heavy-duty tubes designed to protect the print during transit while maintaining optimal conditions. These tubes arrive with the poster still perfectly flat after unrolling, ready for your framing decision.
All formats ship ready for immediate installation. Whether you're framing this yourself or taking it to a professional, there's no additional preparation required. The paper quality means it handles framing equipment without stress. You're not dealing with fragile material that tears or damages during the mounting process. This is professional-grade poster stock that respects craftsmanship at every stage.
We've designed the shipping specifically around protecting this investment. You're not receiving some crumpled tube and a prayer. You're receiving a poster that arrives in condition worthy of the film it represents. The protection measures cost slightly more, but they ensure that your Valerie and Her Week of Wonders poster reaches you exhibition-ready. That's not negotiable when you're dealing with genuine collectors who understand that presentation matters.
🎞️ Framing the Genius: Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970)'s Visual Legacy
Jaromil Jireš didn't just direct a film. He created a visual language that treated cinematography as surrealist poetry. Every frame in Valerie and Her Week of Wonders operates simultaneously as narrative information and abstract artistic statement. The visual approach defies traditional horror or fantasy conventions, instead constructing something that feels like watching someone else's fevered dream with complete clarity.
The color theory at work here deserves academic examination. Jireš utilizes natural, muted palettes that avoid the artificial saturation of studio productions. Pastels dominate early sequences, creating an ethereal quality that becomes increasingly sinister as the narrative progresses. The cinematography never announces itself through technical showiness. Instead, it serves the emotional and psychological landscape of Valerie's deteriorating grip on reality. Pale skin tones, dark woods, garden shadows, and gothic interiors combine to construct a world that feels perpetually off-kilter, where danger hides behind beauty and innocence masks predatory intent.
Art direction reflects the film's commitment to folkloric authenticity mixed with surrealist distortion. The 18th-century setting isn't replicated through historical accuracy alone. Instead, production design emphasizes isolation, claustrophobia, and dreamlike spatial relationships. Rooms seem too small or too vast depending on psychological need. Gardens transform into labyrinths. Religious spaces become sites of corruption rather than sanctuary. Every design choice reinforces the film's thematic exploration of how institutions and traditions prey on young women.
Iconic imagery emerges through Jireš's compositional genius. The magic earrings function as a visual anchor, an object of power that appears consistently yet differently throughout the narrative. Pearl earrings become symbols of witchcraft, protection, and female autonomy simultaneously. The grandmother's transformation into vampiric form provides visual horror that transcends typical monster design through psychological implication. The film's visual language suggests threat through framing and lighting rather than explicit creature effects.
Cinematography also employs negative space brilliantly. Characters appear isolated within expansive frames, emphasizing vulnerability and surveillance. The visual approach constantly reinforces Valerie's sense of being watched, evaluated, and threatened by every male presence surrounding her. Photography becomes a tool of psychological horror, where lighting design creates paranoia through visual means alone. This poster captures that paranoid beauty, that visual unease that defines Jireš's directorial vision.
👀 Did You Know? 🤯 Fun facts about Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970)
Valerie and Her Week of Wonders arrived at a pivotal moment in Czech cinema. The Prague Spring of 1968 had recently been crushed by Soviet tanks, and the country was experiencing cultural repression. Yet somehow, Jaromil Jireš managed to create this surrealist masterpiece in 1970 under increasingly hostile censorship conditions. The film's abstract, dreamlike narrative structure actually provided protection against direct political censorship. How do you censor a surrealist fairy tale about a teenage girl confronting vampires and predatory priests? The film operated in layers that allowed it to function simultaneously as personal psychological narrative and broader cultural commentary about freedom, autonomy, and predatory power structures.
The source material itself carries weight. Vítězslav Nezval's 1935 novel was written during interwar Czechoslovakia and carries its own historical and political dimensions. Jireš's adaptation transformed the novel into something even more visually radical than the original text. He added surrealist visual techniques that didn't exist in 1935 cinema vocabulary, creating something that felt genuinely dangerous and contemporary despite the 18th-century setting.
The film achieved cult status slowly but deliberately. Western audiences initially confused surrealism with incomprehensibility, dismissing the film as pretentious or inaccessible. However, dedicated film scholars and cinephiles gradually recognized its genius. The visual language began influencing contemporary horror cinema decades later. When filmmakers wanted to explore how genre could address female coming-of-age and sexual threat simultaneously, they looked backward to Valerie as a reference point and inspiration.
Contemporary critical reassessment has elevated the film's reputation significantly. Universities now teach it as essential viewing in film history curricula. Festival screenings consistently attract overflow audiences. Alternative soundtracks, including performances by The Valerie Project, have transformed the film into a multimedia event rather than a static historical artifact. The film continues generating scholarly analysis exploring its visual language, thematic content, and cultural significance.
What makes this relevant in 2026? The film's central theme about how society preys on young women's bodies and autonomy remains perpetually contemporary. Every generation rediscovers Valerie and finds it speaks directly to their moment's anxieties. That timelessness proves genuine artistic achievement transcends its original historical moment. This poster represents access to that ongoing cultural conversation.

- Your poster arrives damaged
👉 contact us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll immediately work with the carrier (UPS®) to resolve the issue.

The carrier has a formal process and timeline to declare a package as lost, 15 days after the estimated delivery date. Before that, the package is officially still “in transit”.
⏳ Delivery delays & right to a refund
The right to a refund for delivery delays only applies if the delay is not caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond the seller’s control (weather conditions, strikes, exceptional events, etc.).
According to European Directive 2011/83/EU:
- If no fixed delivery time is specified (only an estimate),
- The seller must deliver the order within a reasonable timeframe, typically up to 30 days from the order confirmation
If this timeframe is exceeded, the seller is granted an additional one-week period to complete the delivery.

💥 My order arrived damaged, what should I do ?
First: breathe 😌
Yes, it can happen. Even with the best carrier in the world, a delivery driver can have a bad day, be in a rush, or your package can go through a real adventure during transit.
👉 The good news:
Since working with UPS®, damaged packages are very rare.
Trust us… you don’t want to know how many emails we used to get with our previous carriers 😅
That problem is now solved thanks to:
- Stronger protection
- Better packaging
- Much more reliable delivery
But let’s be real :
Packages travel for several days. They can fall, be stacked, sometimes crushed… Honestly, we should put a GoPro inside a package to see what it goes through 🎥📦
🚚 When we hand packages over to UPS®, everything is perfect :
Paolo, our UPS® driver, comes by every day with a smile, packages leave well protected and damage-free. After that… they go on their journey.
👉 If you’re part of the 1% of cases where a package arrives damaged :
It’s not a big deal. it’s annoying (we agree), and trust me:
👉 if I ordered something and received it damaged, I’d be annoyed too.
Here’s what to do calmly 👇
- Take a photo of the package
- Take a photo of the poster
- Email us at hello@popcornposter.com
(with your order number, ex. #1001)

👉 Make sure you entered complete and accurate contact details when placing your order:
- Correct delivery address

Without this information, even the best carrier in the world can’t work miracles.

👉 Result: you receive an email at every single movement of your package. Your poster is tracked more closely than a main character in a TV series.
🖨️ Important note for custom posters:
Custom posters may require up to 24 additional hours of processing, depending on demand. Why ?
Because this one isn’t in stock, we create it ourselves, specifically for you. Nothing to worry about, it may just take a little longer, and that’s completely normal.
⏳ Now, real-world shipping reality :

👉 We only really start worrying after 7 business days (excluding weekends).
If that timeframe is exceeded, contact us and we’ll immediately open an investigation with UPS®.
🎬 Bottom line:
We never leave a customer without a solution, but we also avoid jumping to conclusions like a Netflix thriller after 10 minutes.
If you’re really worried about where your order might be hiding, send us an email at hello@popcornposter.com and Marion will take care of the investigation with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine 🕵️♂️🚐🍿
About Our Products
This is where we answer all the questions your brain asks while staring at a poster thinking : “Okay… but is it really that cool in real life?” Spoiler: it is.
🍿 What kind of posters do you sell ?
At Popcorn Poster, we don’t do “a bit of home decor.” We do cinema. A lot of cinema. Probably too much cinema. 🎬🍿
More specifically, our catalog includes thousands of movie and TV series posters, in multiple languages, sourced from cinemas all around the world.
Yes ! we’re talking about one of the largest movie poster catalogs in the world. And no, we’re not just saying that for fun (okay… maybe a little).
You’ll find posters from:
- 🎥 cult movies you can quote by heart
- 🏛️ timeless classics you deeply respect
- 🚀 recent films that blew your mind
- 📺 iconic TV series you binge-watched “just one episode”… until sunrise
And most importantly : 👉 in multiple languages, because cinema has never spoken just one.
🎞️ Where do our posters come from?
Our posters can be:
- Original cinema posters, used in theaters around the world
- Or high-quality reprints, when the original isn’t available in the size you choose
Either way, we’re obsessive about quality, so the final result looks amazing on your wall, not just accurate on paper.
🎬 What if I can’t find the movie or series of my dreams?
That’s exactly why we created CHOOSE YOUR MOVIE 🕶️ If you can’t find what you’re looking for :
- Simply type the movie or TV show name
- Choose the size
- And we take care of the rest
👉 No endless searching
👉 No comparing random websites
👉 No DIY headaches
You choose.
We print.
You receive your poster.
🎥 In short:
Popcorn Poster means:
- A massive catalog
- Worldwide cinema
- Thousands of references
- And the certainty that even if you don’t see it right away…
👉 your movie exists here.
🖨️ Is the print quality actually that good ?
Let’s be honest right from the start :
👉 these are probably the worst posters of all time. Blurry, poorly printed, dull colors… Basically, the kind of quality you’d expect from a movie filmed on a phone in the back row of a cinema in 2004.
…
Okay, obviously not 😄 If that were true, we’d be selling bootleg DVDs in a parking lot.
🎬 Let’s get serious (but not too serious)
Our posters are designed to last, not just look good in an Instagram story.
🖨️ For reprinted posters (when the original isn’t available in your chosen size) :
- We use eco-friendly, long-lasting, high-quality inks
- Resistant to time and light
- To avoid the “yellowing poster after a few months” effect
📄 The paper:
- 240g museum-grade paper
- Thick, premium feel
- Elegant matte finish
Definitely not thin paper that wrinkles if you breathe near it.
🖼️ The frames:
- Made of aluminum
- Lightweight once on the wall
- Won’t warp
- Won’t lose color over time
- Impressive lifespan
The kind of frame you hang, forget about, and still looks perfect years later.
🎞️ One important (and honest) thing to know
As you might expect :
👉 The older the movie, the more the print quality depends on the original source.
A movie poster from the 1970s:
- Won’t always look ultra-sharp 4K
- And that’s completely normal
It’s like watching The Godfather: Not Dolby Vision 2025, but that’s exactly part of its charm.
🎬 Bottom line:
Our posters are:
- Carefully printed
- Made with premium materials
- Designed to last
- And respectful of cinema history
Not a tired VHS, not fake overhyped 4K, but an honest, cinematic result, as it should be.
🖼️ Are the frames high quality ?
Let’s start with the truth: 👉 of course not.
We love wasting time, money, and energy selling terrible frames.
…
Okay, obviously no 😄 If that were the case, we’d do what everyone else does: cheap, fragile frames and “good luck assembling it yourself.”
🎬 A true story
At first, we used wooden frames. On paper, they looked nice. In real life? Not so much.
👉 Once on the wall, they warped over time.
👉 And during shipping… they could literally break apart.
So we made a simple decision:
🛑 stop using wood
✅ switch to aluminum
🖼️ Why aluminum?
Because:
- It’s lightweight (no Final Destination moment for your wall)
- It doesn’t warp
- It doesn’t yellow
- It keeps its color for years
- And has an impressive lifespan
🎬 In short:
frames built to last longer than most movie trilogies.
🛠️ And most importantly… no IKEA-style assembly
When you order a framed poster from Popcorn Poster,
👉 it arrives already framed, ready to hang.
Not like:
- Some poster sellers
- Or an IKEA piece you assemble on a Sunday night with one screw left over
We do the work for you.
🎨 What we actually do (and yes, it takes time)
- We select the frame (black, chrome, white…)
- Carefully place the poster inside
- Make sure no dust or hair sneaks in
- Wrap everything in our protective sleeves
- Place it in strong packaging
- And off it goes 🚚🍿
✨ The finish
Our frames have:
- A slightly matte finish
- With just a touch of shine
Once on the wall or on a shelf, it makes a real difference in a home. Because a poster isn’t just decoration.
It’s:
- An atmosphere
- A soul
- Your personality on display
You’re not going to pick a generic, ugly frame everyone else has.
👉 Your home represents who you are.
And every day, when you walk past your poster, you’ll feel that little moment of satisfaction. You’ll see 😌
