📏 Size Guide & Finishes
🎞️ Size Guide: Pick Your "Blockbuster" Format
Whether you’re decorating a cozy "indie movie" studio or an IMAX-sized living room, we’ve got the perfect aspect ratio for your walls.
⚪ A4 : 21 x 29.7 cm (8.3 x 11.7 in) The "Grogu" Format. Small, cute, but packs a serious Force. Perfect for building a "Wall of Fame" in tight spaces.
⚪ A3 : 29.7 x 42 cm (11.7 x 16.5 in) The "Multiverse" Format. Not too big, not too small. Perfectly balanced, as Thanos would say (but without snapping half your decor away).
⚪ A2 : 42 x 59.4 cm (16.5 x 23.4 in) The "Heisenberg" Format. Now we’re cooking. This size doesn't just sit there; it’s the one who knocks on your living room door.
⚪ A1 : 59.4 x 84.1 cm (23.4 x 33.1 in) The "King Kong" Format. The Final Boss. A poster so massive it could probably stop a White Walker invasion. Go Big or Go Home.
🖼️ Finishes & Frames
Choose your art Raw (Unframed) or Upgraded in our premium aluminum armor :
- Black Aluminum: The "Dark Knight" Style. Sleek, matte, and elegant. It’s the James Bond tuxedo for your poster. A timeless classic.
- Chrome Aluminum: The "Stark Tech" Style. Polished, shiny, and futuristic. For that high-end Cyberpunk gallery vibe.
📦 Shipping & Handling
We treat your posters with more respect than John Wick treats his dog. Guaranteed no "spoilers" (or creases) upon arrival !
- A4 & A3 (Unframed): These travel flat in heavy-duty reinforced armor. More bulletproof than the A-Team van.
- A2 & A1 (Unframed): Carefully rolled in protective tissue paper and tucked into extra-strong tubes. They arrive ready to be unrolled like a Red Carpet at Cannes.
- Framed Posters (All Sizes): Maximum protection. We use specialized shock-resistant boxes and reinforced corners. Even a Fast & Furious car chase wouldn't scratch them.
🤓 The "Fine Print" (Post-Credits Scene)
Before you hit "Play" on your order, here’s a little legal fan-fiction to keep things smooth :
⚪ Visual FX vs. Reality : Just like a CGI trailer, our photos are not contractual. Colors might vary slightly in print- think of it as a "Variant" in the Multiverse.
⚪ The "Popcorn" Incident : While our name is Popcorn Poster, the actual popcorn seen in the photos is just for show. It’s not included. If we shipped real popcorn, it would be as stale as a 20-year-old VHS tape by the time it reached you.
⚪ Lights, Camera... No Action : The lighting bar featured above our frames in the photos is for dramatic effect only. It’s not part of the package. You’ll have to bring your own "Stark Industries" tech to light up your walls!
⚪ The Fan Statement : We have no official affiliation with the brands, studios, or caped crusaders featured in our designs. We’re just enthusiasts -like Peter Parker with his camera - aiming to help culture flourish.
⚪ Copyright Protocol : If any brand or "Supreme Leader" prefers not to be highlighted in our gallery, please reach out to us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll remove it faster than a glitch in the Matrix.

Framing Reality: Why Aluminum Beats Calvin's Wood-Paneled Dreams

Premium Paper Quality: As Durable as Calvin's Paranoia
🎬 Why this Blast from the Past (1999) Poster is the Real Deal 🤩
The Cult Classic That Defined Late-90s Comedy
Blast from the Past (1999) has achieved legendary status among film enthusiasts, and for good reason. Directed by Hugh Wilson, this romantic comedy masterpiece stars Brendan Fraser as Adam Webber, a naïve 35-year-old man who has spent his entire life confined to a fallout shelter built by his eccentric father, Calvin (Christopher Walken), during the Cuban Missile Crisis paranoia of 1962. The premise alone-a man raised entirely underground emerges expecting nuclear apocalypse and instead finds 1999 Los Angeles-is comedic gold that never gets old.
The film's genius lies in its perfect balance of satire and genuine heart. Roger Ebert and other critics recognized that beneath the fish-out-of-water humor exists a genuinely touching love story between Adam and Eve Rustikov (Alicia Silverstone). The chemistry between Fraser and Silverstone elevated what could have been a one-note joke into something memorable and rewatchable. Audiences loved watching Adam navigate late-90s culture with the sensibilities of someone raised on I Love Lucy reruns and Perry Como records.
What makes Blast from the Past so special for collectors is its perfect encapsulation of late-90s aesthetics combined with 1960s nostalgia. The visual language constantly contrasts Adam's pristine 1962 wardrobe and sensibilities against the grimy, modern Los Angeles landscape. This juxtaposition is pure visual storytelling-the kind that deserves to be hanging on your wall in poster form.
The critical reception was strong, with audiences appreciating its humor, style, and surprisingly genuine romantic elements. Over 25 years later, the film has only grown in cult appeal. New generations discover it and immediately understand why it's become a beloved reference point for 90s comedy cinema. The poster encapsulates the film's entire DNA: period charm, unexpected romance, and the absurdist humor that made 1999 comedies special.
This specific poster works because it captures the exact moment when Adam's world expands beyond his underground existence. It's a visual representation of possibility, comedy, and the perfect storm of casting and direction that made this film work. Owning this poster means you recognize quality cinema that goes beyond the obvious blockbusters. You're signaling to everyone who enters your space that you have taste, humor, and an appreciation for films that deserve cult status.
In an era of streaming algorithms and disposable content, Blast from the Past stands as proof that well-crafted comedies with heart never fade. This poster is your declaration that you saw it first, understood its value, and refused to let it disappear into forgotten 90s obscurity. Premium quality reproduction on archival paper ensures this piece of cinema history stays vibrant and pristine for decades to come.
🍿 Why you need a Blast from the Past (1999) poster on your wall? 🤔
This Poster Proves You Saw It First
There's a special kind of street credibility that comes with owning a Blast from the Past poster. In a world where everyone claims to love obscure films but actually just watches Marvel trailers, this poster announces that you genuinely appreciate cinema gems. You're not following trends-you're setting them. You discovered this film when it mattered, laughed at the right moments, and recognized Brendan Fraser's comedic genius before it became mainstream internet culture.
Think about it: most people have never heard of this film. Those who have represent an exclusive club of comedy connoisseurs who understand that late-90s comedies were operating on a completely different level of sophistication and heart. This poster becomes your membership card. Visitors to your space immediately know they're in the presence of someone with refined taste, not someone who just hangs Marvel promotional materials and calls it décor.
Psychologically, surrounding yourself with media you genuinely love affects your mental space. Every time you look at this poster, you're reminded of those moments of pure joy-Adam's naïve confusion, the chemistry between the leads, Christopher Walken's paranoid brilliance, the absurdity of a man raised in a fallout shelter encountering late-90s Los Angeles culture. That's the opposite of generic inspiration posters or trendy artwork. This is actual meaning.
The film itself is a masterclass in visual contrast and period storytelling. The poster captures that essence perfectly. You're not just hanging decoration-you're displaying visual art that represents sophisticated comedic filmmaking. The 1960s styling juxtaposed against contemporary Los Angeles creates naturally gorgeous imagery. The casting choices (Fraser, Silverstone, Walken) represent a moment in cinema where comedy still attracted A-list talent committed to the craft.
Culturally, Blast from the Past has only grown more relevant. In an age of anxiety and environmental concern, a film that gently mocks Cold War paranoia while celebrating human connection feels almost prophetic. This poster becomes a conversation starter: 'Oh, you've seen that? Most people haven't.' Suddenly you're talking about cinema, craft, and why certain films endure while others vanish.
Practically speaking, this poster fits anywhere-your entertainment room, bedroom, office, or anywhere you want people to know you have excellent taste and a sense of humor. It's not trying too hard. It's confident. Much like Adam Webber himself by the film's end, this poster represents growth, style, and the confidence that comes with knowing who you are and what you love.

Museum-Grade Materials Meet Cult Classic Obsession
This isn't a poster you tolerate-it's a poster you treasure. We've sourced 240 g/m² heavyweight premium poster paper, the exact specification used in museum exhibitions and professional galleries. That weight means substance, durability, and a tactile quality that makes you understand why you spent money on this. When you hold it, you feel the difference between this and the thin paper your local mall kiosk was pushing in 1999.
The glossy finish elevates every color. Vibrant blues, reds, and skin tones achieve depth and richness that matte finishes can't touch. Deep blacks become genuinely deep-the kind that make lighter colors seem to float off the paper. This is why professional cinematography gets reproduced on glossy stock. It honors the visual work that went into creating these images.
Museum-quality archival standards mean this poster resists fading, discoloration, and deterioration for decades. We're talking about acid-free paper, fade-resistant inks, and manufacturing processes that prioritize longevity. Your grandchildren will look at this poster and see the same vibrant colors you're seeing today. That's not hyperbole-that's archival science.
Shipping is where most poster companies fail. Not us. A4 and A3 formats arrive perfectly flat in reinforced protective packaging-think cardboard tubes inside protective sleeves, not rolled into a cylinder that spends three weeks slowly creasing your artwork. These smaller formats are ready to unbox and frame immediately without the 'unrolling nightmare' that haunts poster purchases.
Larger A2 and A1 formats require specialized handling. We carefully roll them in heavy-duty tubes specifically designed for poster transit. These tubes are padded, reinforced, and shipped in outer packaging that ensures zero damage. You're not getting a poster that spent a week crushed in a FedEx truck-you're getting an item that arrived under premium conditions.
Every format arrives ready for instant framing. We're not sending you something that needs three days of flattening under a mattress or careful heat treatment. Professional packaging ensures that the moment it arrives, you can frame it with confidence. All materials are print-ready, meaning zero additional preparation required.
This is the difference between buying a poster and acquiring a piece of cinema history. You're not making a purchase-you're making an investment in something that will appreciate in significance as Blast from the Past continues gaining recognition among serious film enthusiasts.
🎞️ Framing the Genius: Blast from the Past (1999)'s Visual Legacy
The Visual Language of Contrast and Innocence
Blast from the Past operates as a masterclass in visual storytelling through deliberately constructed contrast. The cinematography doesn't just show Adam's culture shock-it visually argues for the film's central thesis: that innocence and authenticity are rarer and more valuable than we admit. Every frame works to communicate this through color theory, composition, and art direction that feels effortless but reveals itself as intentional upon closer inspection.
The film employs a visual strategy that separates the underground world from the surface world through distinct color palettes. The fallout shelter scenes utilize warmer, more saturated tones reminiscent of 1960s interior design-oranges, warm whites, and golden lighting that feels nostalgic and safe. When Adam emerges, the Los Angeles landscape shifts dramatically: cooler tones, harsh natural lighting, and visual chaos that contrasts sharply with the ordered, planned environment of the shelter. This isn't accidental cinematography-it's purposeful visual metaphor where the environment itself tells the story of culture clash.
Art direction reinforces this visual language obsessively. The shelter is meticulously recreated 1962 aesthetics-period-accurate furniture, vintage appliances, and design sensibilities that feel preserved rather than lived-in. Adam's clothing, sourced from 1960s stock, looks simultaneously pristine and completely out of place against late-90s fashion. The costume design becomes visual storytelling: Adam is literally a man out of time, and his wardrobe announces this immediately without dialogue.
When framed as a poster, these visual elements condense into a single iconic image that must communicate the entire film's DNA. The best Blast from the Past posters capture that exact moment of transition-where Adam's innocence meets the modern world's complexity. This is why the poster works so effectively: it's not just marketing material, it's visual distillation of the film's entire thematic project.
The cinematography utilizes light to emphasize Adam's emotional journey. Early scenes use soft, forgiving lighting that emphasizes his youth and vulnerability. As he becomes more confident and integrated into the modern world, the lighting becomes more naturalistic and less protective. The poster captures this transformation in a single frame, making it a perfect visual summary of character arc and thematic development.
Color theory becomes crucial in how audiences respond to the imagery. Warm earth tones associated with the 1960s create comfort and nostalgia. When juxtaposed against cooler, more clinical modern colors, the emotional response is instantaneous: safety versus uncertainty, order versus chaos, the past versus the future. A well-designed Blast from the Past poster leverages these color relationships to create immediate emotional resonance without requiring viewers to have seen the film.
👀 Did You Know? 🤯 Fun facts about Blast from the Past (1999)
Production Gold and Cultural Timing
Blast from the Past arrived at the exact cultural moment when 90s nostalgia for the 1960s was reaching peak saturation, yet the film managed to feel fresh and genuine rather than derivative. Director Hugh Wilson crafted a film that could have been a one-joke premise but instead became a genuinely touching romantic comedy. The timing of release-just months before Y2K panic peaked-meant audiences were primed to appreciate dark comedy about apocalyptic anxiety and bunker mentality. The film became a commentary on fin-de-siècle paranoia without ever feeling preachy.
Brendan Fraser's casting was crucial to the film's success. At that moment in his career, Fraser could balance comedy with genuine vulnerability in ways that made Adam sympathetic rather than irritating. His physical comedy-the confused expressions, the careful navigation of unfamiliar spaces-communicated Adam's character arc without relying on constant dialogue. Watching Fraser discover the modern world became the audience's vicarious rediscovery of mundane technology and culture we take for granted.
Christopher Walken's presence elevated every scene he appeared in. His delivery of paranoid, survivalist dialogue became inherently funny through Walken's theatrical approach, yet he never broke character or signaled to the audience that the material was absurd. This commitment to playing Calvin Webber as genuinely paranoid rather than obviously comedic created a delicate balance that made the character work as both humor and genuine motivation.
Alicia Silverstone brought surprising depth to what could have been a standard 'manic pixie dream girl' character. Eve's journey-from dismissing Adam as mentally ill to genuinely falling for him-mirrors the audience's own journey. Her skepticism initially validates our own disbelief, making her eventual acceptance of Adam's story more emotionally resonant. The chemistry between Fraser and Silverstone remains one of the film's greatest strengths.
The film's production design required meticulous attention to 1960s authenticity in the shelter sequences. Every product, appliance, and piece of furniture had to be genuinely from the period or accurate reproductions. This commitment to detail meant that when Adam emerged, viewers immediately understood he truly came from another era. The visual specificity elevated the comedy from conceptual to experiential.
Culturally, Blast from the Past has experienced a renaissance with newer audiences discovering it through streaming platforms. Gen Z viewers discovering the film often express surprise that such a thoughtfully made romantic comedy exists from the late 90s. In an era of algorithm-driven content recommendations, the film's existence seems almost accidental-too well-crafted, too funny, and too genuinely romantic to fit modern streaming categories. This rediscovery has solidified its cult status as a film that transcends its release period.
The film's ending-Calvin's decision to build another fallout shelter despite learning the truth-was both comedically perfect and thematically sophisticated. It suggests that paranoia and anxiety operate independent of actual danger, a commentary that feels increasingly relevant in contemporary culture. This final joke elevated the film from simple romance to genuine social commentary.

🚚 Delivery issues (delay, lost or damaged package) If:

- Your package is lost
- Your poster arrives damaged
👉 contact us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll immediately work with the carrier (UPS®) to resolve the issue.
📅 Please note:
The carrier has a formal process and timeline to declare a package as lost, 15 days after the estimated delivery date. Before that, the package is officially still “in transit”.
⏳ Delivery delays & right to a refund
The right to a refund for delivery delays only applies if the delay is not caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond the seller’s control (weather conditions, strikes, exceptional events, etc.).
According to European Directive 2011/83/EU:
- If no fixed delivery time is specified (only an estimate),
- The seller must deliver the order within a reasonable timeframe, typically up to 30 days from the order confirmation
If this timeframe is exceeded, the seller is granted an additional one-week period to complete the delivery.
🎬 In short:
We never leave customers without support, but we also believe in solving things calmly, without a failed-season-finale level of drama.

- Upgrade from unframed to framed
Because sometimes you realize after checkout that the black frame would look way better and that’s totally fine.

💥 My order arrived damaged, what should I do ?
First: breathe 😌
Yes, it can happen. Even with the best carrier in the world, a delivery driver can have a bad day, be in a rush, or your package can go through a real adventure during transit.
👉 The good news:
Since working with UPS®, damaged packages are very rare.
Trust us… you don’t want to know how many emails we used to get with our previous carriers 😅
That problem is now solved thanks to:
- Stronger protection
- Better packaging
- Much more reliable delivery
But let’s be real :
Packages travel for several days. They can fall, be stacked, sometimes crushed… Honestly, we should put a GoPro inside a package to see what it goes through 🎥📦
🚚 When we hand packages over to UPS®, everything is perfect :
Paolo, our UPS® driver, comes by every day with a smile, packages leave well protected and damage-free. After that… they go on their journey.
👉 If you’re part of the 1% of cases where a package arrives damaged :
It’s not a big deal. it’s annoying (we agree), and trust me:
👉 if I ordered something and received it damaged, I’d be annoyed too.
Here’s what to do calmly 👇
- Take a photo of the package
- Take a photo of the poster
- Email us at hello@popcornposter.com
(with your order number, ex. #1001)

Simple, human, efficient. 🫶
❓ I haven’t received my order, what should I do?
First things first, something very important 👇 (No panic, this isn’t an episode of Lost.)
👉 Make sure you entered complete and accurate contact details when placing your order:
- Correct delivery address
- Valid email address
- Phone number
Without this information, even the best carrier in the world can’t work miracles.
📦 All orders are tracked via UPS®, and the tracking is (truly) extremely precise.
🎬 A quick look at your package’s journey:
- As soon as we create your shipping label and attach it to the package → Bam, email
- Every day around 12 PM, Paolo, our awesome UPS® driver, comes by to collect the parcels
- Before your package even enters his super truck, Paolo scans each parcel one by one → Bam, email
- When he drops your package at the UPS® logistics hub for proper routing → Quick scan, Bam email
👉 Result: you receive an email at every single movement of your package. Your poster is tracked more closely than a main character in a TV series.
🖨️ Important note for custom posters:
Custom posters may require up to 24 additional hours of processing, depending on demand. Why ?
Because this one isn’t in stock, we create it ourselves, specifically for you. Nothing to worry about, it may just take a little longer, and that’s completely normal.
⏳ Now, real-world shipping reality :
Delays can happen (weather conditions, logistics issues, unexpected events). It’s not common, but it happens.
👉 We only really start worrying after 7 business days (excluding weekends).
If that timeframe is exceeded, contact us and we’ll immediately open an investigation with UPS®.
🎬 Bottom line:
We never leave a customer without a solution, but we also avoid jumping to conclusions like a Netflix thriller after 10 minutes.
If you’re really worried about where your order might be hiding, send us an email at hello@popcornposter.com and Marion will take care of the investigation with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine 🕵️♂️🚐🍿

🖨️ Is the print quality actually that good ?
Let’s be honest right from the start :
👉 these are probably the worst posters of all time. Blurry, poorly printed, dull colors… Basically, the kind of quality you’d expect from a movie filmed on a phone in the back row of a cinema in 2004.
…
Okay, obviously not 😄 If that were true, we’d be selling bootleg DVDs in a parking lot.
🎬 Let’s get serious (but not too serious)
Our posters are designed to last, not just look good in an Instagram story.
🖨️ For reprinted posters (when the original isn’t available in your chosen size) :
- We use eco-friendly, long-lasting, high-quality inks
- Resistant to time and light

- Elegant matte finish
Definitely not thin paper that wrinkles if you breathe near it.
🖼️ The frames:

- Won’t lose color over time
- Impressive lifespan
The kind of frame you hang, forget about, and still looks perfect years later.
🎞️ One important (and honest) thing to know
As you might expect :
👉 The older the movie, the more the print quality depends on the original source.
A movie poster from the 1970s:
- Won’t always look ultra-sharp 4K
- And that’s completely normal
It’s like watching The Godfather: Not Dolby Vision 2025, but that’s exactly part of its charm.
🎬 Bottom line:
Our posters are:
- Carefully printed
- Made with premium materials
- Designed to last
- And respectful of cinema history
Not a tired VHS, not fake overhyped 4K, but an honest, cinematic result, as it should be.
🖼️ Are the frames high quality ?
Let’s start with the truth: 👉 of course not.
We love wasting time, money, and energy selling terrible frames.
…
Okay, obviously no 😄 If that were the case, we’d do what everyone else does: cheap, fragile frames and “good luck assembling it yourself.”
🎬 A true story
At first, we used wooden frames. On paper, they looked nice. In real life? Not so much.
👉 Once on the wall, they warped over time.
👉 And during shipping… they could literally break apart.
So we made a simple decision:
🛑 stop using wood
✅ switch to aluminum
🖼️ Why aluminum?
Because:
- It’s lightweight (no Final Destination moment for your wall)
- It doesn’t warp
- It doesn’t yellow
- It keeps its color for years
- And has an impressive lifespan
🎬 In short:
frames built to last longer than most movie trilogies.
🛠️ And most importantly… no IKEA-style assembly
When you order a framed poster from Popcorn Poster,
👉 it arrives already framed, ready to hang.
Not like:
- Some poster sellers
- Or an IKEA piece you assemble on a Sunday night with one screw left over
We do the work for you.
🎨 What we actually do (and yes, it takes time)
- We select the frame (black, chrome, white…)
- Carefully place the poster inside
- Make sure no dust or hair sneaks in
- Wrap everything in our protective sleeves
- Place it in strong packaging
- And off it goes 🚚🍿
✨ The finish
Our frames have:
- A slightly matte finish
- With just a touch of shine
Once on the wall or on a shelf, it makes a real difference in a home. Because a poster isn’t just decoration.
It’s:
- An atmosphere
- A soul
- Your personality on display
You’re not going to pick a generic, ugly frame everyone else has.
👉 Your home represents who you are.
And every day, when you walk past your poster, you’ll feel that little moment of satisfaction. You’ll see 😌
