📏 Size Guide & Finishes
🎞️ Size Guide: Pick Your "Blockbuster" Format
Whether you’re decorating a cozy "indie movie" studio or an IMAX-sized living room, we’ve got the perfect aspect ratio for your walls.
⚪ A4 : 21 x 29.7 cm (8.3 x 11.7 in) The "Grogu" Format. Small, cute, but packs a serious Force. Perfect for building a "Wall of Fame" in tight spaces.
⚪ A3 : 29.7 x 42 cm (11.7 x 16.5 in) The "Multiverse" Format. Not too big, not too small. Perfectly balanced, as Thanos would say (but without snapping half your decor away).
⚪ A2 : 42 x 59.4 cm (16.5 x 23.4 in) The "Heisenberg" Format. Now we’re cooking. This size doesn't just sit there; it’s the one who knocks on your living room door.
⚪ A1 : 59.4 x 84.1 cm (23.4 x 33.1 in) The "King Kong" Format. The Final Boss. A poster so massive it could probably stop a White Walker invasion. Go Big or Go Home.
🖼️ Finishes & Frames
Choose your art Raw (Unframed) or Upgraded in our premium aluminum armor :
- Black Aluminum: The "Dark Knight" Style. Sleek, matte, and elegant. It’s the James Bond tuxedo for your poster. A timeless classic.
- Chrome Aluminum: The "Stark Tech" Style. Polished, shiny, and futuristic. For that high-end Cyberpunk gallery vibe.
📦 Shipping & Handling
We treat your posters with more respect than John Wick treats his dog. Guaranteed no "spoilers" (or creases) upon arrival !
- A4 & A3 (Unframed): These travel flat in heavy-duty reinforced armor. More bulletproof than the A-Team van.
- A2 & A1 (Unframed): Carefully rolled in protective tissue paper and tucked into extra-strong tubes. They arrive ready to be unrolled like a Red Carpet at Cannes.
- Framed Posters (All Sizes): Maximum protection. We use specialized shock-resistant boxes and reinforced corners. Even a Fast & Furious car chase wouldn't scratch them.
🤓 The "Fine Print" (Post-Credits Scene)
Before you hit "Play" on your order, here’s a little legal fan-fiction to keep things smooth :
⚪ Visual FX vs. Reality : Just like a CGI trailer, our photos are not contractual. Colors might vary slightly in print- think of it as a "Variant" in the Multiverse.
⚪ The "Popcorn" Incident : While our name is Popcorn Poster, the actual popcorn seen in the photos is just for show. It’s not included. If we shipped real popcorn, it would be as stale as a 20-year-old VHS tape by the time it reached you.
⚪ Lights, Camera... No Action : The lighting bar featured above our frames in the photos is for dramatic effect only. It’s not part of the package. You’ll have to bring your own "Stark Industries" tech to light up your walls!
⚪ The Fan Statement : We have no official affiliation with the brands, studios, or caped crusaders featured in our designs. We’re just enthusiasts -like Peter Parker with his camera - aiming to help culture flourish.
⚪ Copyright Protocol : If any brand or "Supreme Leader" prefers not to be highlighted in our gallery, please reach out to us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll remove it faster than a glitch in the Matrix.

Premium Paper Quality: Thicker Than Frank Sr.'s Stubbornness
🎬 Why this 29th Street (1991) Poster is the Real Deal 🤩
The Cult Classic Nobody Saw Coming
29th Street (1991) is experiencing a renaissance among cinephiles who appreciate films that blend comedy, drama, and existential crisis into a Queens-set masterpiece. Directed by George Gallo, this film tells the true story of Frank Pesce Jr., a man so blessed by cosmic luck that winning the lottery became his greatest curse. The 1991 release features powerhouse performances from Anthony LaPaglia and Danny Aiello that anchor this dysfunctional family saga with surprising emotional depth.
Critical Acclaim and Lasting Impact
Roger Ebert recognized the film's layered approach to storytelling, praising how 29th Street emerges from the long tradition of Italian-American cinema while maintaining its own unique voice. The film operates as a modern reimagining of It's a Wonderful Life, but set in the gritty, chaotic world of 1970s New York. What makes it revolutionary is the central paradox: Frank Jr.'s greatest blessing becomes his ultimate burden when he finally wins the New York State Lottery on Christmas Eve, 1976.The Visual and Narrative Genius
This poster captures the exact moment audiences experience the film's genius: the collision between desperation, luck, family obligation, and divine injustice. The imagery crystallizes why 29th Street has developed cult status among discerning viewers. It's not a cheerful movie about winning. It's a meditation on fate, responsibility, and whether good fortune is actually good at all.Why Collectors Need This Now
As 29th Street gains recognition in streaming era cinema discussions, original promotional materials become increasingly rare. This poster represents a piece of cinema history from a film that deserves far more attention than it receives. The composition captures the emotional turmoil central to the narrative: Frank's shock, horror, and existential confusion when his life's greatest moment becomes his darkest. It's the perfect visual document of a film that shouldn't be forgotten.Premium Quality Meets Cult Status
Unlike mass-produced merchandise, this collector's print honors the film's legacy with museum-quality materials. The 240 g/m² glossy paper ensures that every frame of this poster's imagery maintains its impact for decades. Whether you're a devoted fan of 1990s independent cinema or someone discovering 29th Street for the first time, this poster serves as a conversation starter that demands explanation.Investment in Film Appreciation
Owning this poster signals to anyone entering your space that you appreciate nuanced filmmaking. You recognize that comedies can carry profound emotional weight. You understand that family dysfunction, when portrayed authentically, becomes universally relatable. You know that sometimes the best stories come from overlooked corners of cinema history. This is the poster for people who actually think about the films they watch.🍿 Why you need a 29th Street (1991) poster on your wall 🤔
Prove You Discovered This Masterpiece Before It Went Mainstream
Let's be honest: most people have never heard of 29th Street. They're still watching the same five Marvel movies on repeat while one of the most fascinating explorations of luck, family, and destiny sits in the shadows of cinema history. When you hang this poster on your wall, you're not just decorating space. You're making a statement. You're saying, "I found the good stuff before everyone else did."
The Conversation Starter Your Wall Deserves
This poster doesn't blend into the background. Someone will ask about it. And when they do, you get to tell them the story: A man born so lucky that everything works out in his favor. A hard-working father who's never caught a break. A lottery ticket that becomes the source of all conflict. A Christmas Eve arrest at a church after winning $6.2 million. It's the kind of premise that makes people lean in and listen.
Visual Proof of Your Taste in Cinema
Your walls say everything about who you are. A 29th Street poster tells visitors that you appreciate character-driven narratives, that you value performances over special effects, that you understand movies as art rather than content. Anthony LaPaglia's exhausted face captured in this image says more about existential crisis than a thousand philosophy textbooks. Danny Aiello's presence looms behind every frame, representing the weight of parental disappointment and unmet dreams.
The Rarity Factor
This isn't a Star Wars poster or a Marvel promotional print. This is genuine cinema obscurity, elevated to collectible status. As more people discover 29th Street through streaming recommendations and film festival retrospectives, original promotional materials become scarcer. You're not just buying a poster; you're acquiring something that will appreciate in value as the film's reputation grows. In five years, people will ask where you found this.
Frame It, Keep It, Treasure It
Museum-quality 240 g/m² glossy paper means this poster will survive decades of wall time. Colors won't fade. The image won't yellow. You're not looking at a temporary decoration; you're looking at a permanent fixture of your space. This is the poster you buy once and keep forever.
📼 Stop Scrolling 🤚 Own the 29th Street (1991) Collector's Print: Geeky Specs & Shipping
Museum-Grade Materials for a Cult Classic
This isn't standard poster paper. You're holding heavyweight 240 g/m² premium glossy stock, the same specification used in museum collections worldwide. This means durability that laughs at cheap alternatives. The glossy finish amplifies color saturation and depth of black, making the imagery pop off your wall with theatrical presence. Every frame, every shadow, every expression captured in this 29th Street poster maintains its integrity for decades.
Color Vibrancy and Print Quality
The cinematography of 29th Street carries a specific visual language: warm, intimate, lived-in. This poster honors that aesthetic through advanced printing technology that captures subtle color gradations and deep blacks without degradation. You're not getting a faded reproduction. You're getting a print that honors the original source material with professional precision. The glossy coating protects against UV damage, fingerprints, and environmental wear.

This poster will look as stunning in person as it does in preview images. Museum quality isn't an exaggeration; it's a promise.
🎞️ Framing the Genius: 29th Street (1991)'s Visual Legacy
The Visual Language of Chaos and Domesticity
29th Street operates within a specific visual tradition: the gritty, character-driven comedy-drama grounded in authentic location shooting. The cinematography embraces the aesthetic of 1970s New York, particularly the Italian-American neighborhood of Queens where the Pesce family resides. The visual language rejects stylization in favor of documentary-like realism, making the absurdity of Frank Jr.'s good luck feel grounded and relatable rather than cartoonish.
Color Theory and Emotional Subtext
The film's color palette operates on warm, earthy tones: burnt oranges, deep greens, muted blues. This warmth suggests intimacy and family cohesion while simultaneously creating visual tension when contrasted with the cold reality of financial desperation and unfulfilled dreams. The Christmas Eve lottery sequence shifts toward cooler tones, reflecting Frank's emotional spiral. This poster captures that tonal shift perfectly, using color composition to communicate existential dread within a domestic setting.
Art Direction and Iconic Imagery
Every frame feels lived-in. The Pesce family home, the neighborhood streets, the lottery drawing venue all possess specificity that elevates them beyond generic movie locations. The art direction emphasizes authenticity over stylization. When Frank's face registers shock and horror upon winning millions, that expression emerges from a character grounded in real experience, real family dynamics, real circumstances. The poster immortalizes this authenticity, capturing a moment where cinematic truth intersects with human vulnerability.
Composition and Visual Narrative
This poster's composition guides the viewer through layers of meaning. Foreground elements (Frank's expression, immediate reaction) dominate initial attention, while background elements (family presence, neighborhood context, temporal markers) provide emotional and narrative framework. The visual hierarchy communicates the central conflict: personal fortune exists in tension with familial obligation and cosmic irony. The cinematography, preserved in this poster, demonstrates sophisticated understanding of how framing communicates subtext.
Legacy Within Italian-American Cinema
29th Street exists within the tradition of Italian-American film aesthetics established by Scorsese and others, but with distinct comedic sensibility. The visual approach honors that tradition while maintaining its own voice. This poster represents not just a single film but a moment within cinema's ongoing conversation about ethnicity, family, fortune, and belonging in America.
👀 Did You Know? 🤯 Fun facts about 29th Street (1991)
Based on Actual Events (Sort of)
29th Street isn't purely fictional. The film is based on the true story of Frank Pesce Jr., who actually won the first New York State Lottery drawing in 1976. He actually showed up as a finalist at Madison Square Garden on Christmas Eve. He actually experienced the profound conflict between winning millions and having sold his ticket to a gangster to cover his father's debts. Director George Gallo adapted this stranger-than-fiction reality into cinema, maintaining the core narrative while heightening its emotional and comedic dimensions.
The Real Frank Pesce Appears in His Own Film
The real Frank Pesce Jr., the actual lottery winner whose story inspired the film, appears in 29th Street as his own brother, Vito. This meta-casting choice adds layers of authenticity and irony to the narrative. You're watching Anthony LaPaglia portray Frank Jr. alongside the actual real-life Frank Pesce, creating a fascinating intersection between biographical fact and cinematic fiction. It's the ultimate tribute to authenticity in filmmaking.
What Actually Happened to the Real Winner
The real Frank Pesce did win the 1976 lottery jackpot, but not under the romantic circumstances depicted in the film. He later recounted that he held onto his ticket when offered money to sell it beforehand, attended the drawing, and won. His famous quote: "I held onto the ticket. I went to the drawing at Madison Square Garden and I won beans. I said to my father, 'Are you happy now? I told you I should have sold that ticket'." The actual outcome made the fictional narrative even more poignant than reality itself.
Anthony LaPaglia's Breakthrough Performance
Anthony LaPaglia's portrayal of Frank Jr. marked a significant moment in his career. His ability to convey both comedic charm and existential despair showcased range that elevated him beyond typical supporting roles. LaPaglia captures Frank's fundamental conflict: born lucky but fundamentally directionless, blessed by fortune but cursed by circumstance. The performance carries emotional weight that makes the absurd premise feel devastatingly real.
Danny Aiello's Paternal Gravity
Danny Aiello brings paternal credibility to Frank Sr., the hard-working father whose bad luck contrasts perfectly with his son's cosmic fortune. Aiello's naturalistic performance grounds the film's more surreal elements. The father-son dynamic between LaPaglia and Aiello provides emotional anchor throughout the narrative chaos, transforming what could be a gimmicky premise into genuine family drama.
The Christmas Eve Narrative Frame
The decision to set the lottery drawing on Christmas Eve wasn't arbitrary. It creates thematic resonance: a holiday traditionally associated with blessing becomes a curse. Frank's anger at God, his attack on the church nativity, his existential crisis all gain theological weight when positioned against Christmas symbolism. The film uses this temporal marker to elevate its meditation on fortune, fate, and divine indifference.
Why This Film Deserves Cult Status
In an era of blockbuster dominance, 29th Street represents character-driven cinema at its finest. It's funny without being frivolous. It's dramatic without being melodramatic. It's specific to Italian-American experience while remaining universally relatable. As more cinephiles discover this film through streaming and retrospective programming, its reputation continues growing. This poster captures a moment in cinema history that deserves far more recognition than it receives.

🚚 Delivery issues (delay, lost or damaged package) If:
- Your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe
- Your package is lost
- Your poster arrives damaged
👉 contact us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll immediately work with the carrier (UPS®) to resolve the issue.
📅 Please note:
The carrier has a formal process and timeline to declare a package as lost, 15 days after the estimated delivery date. Before that, the package is officially still “in transit”.
⏳ Delivery delays & right to a refund
The right to a refund for delivery delays only applies if the delay is not caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond the seller’s control (weather conditions, strikes, exceptional events, etc.).
According to European Directive 2011/83/EU:
- If no fixed delivery time is specified (only an estimate),
- The seller must deliver the order within a reasonable timeframe, typically up to 30 days from the order confirmation
If this timeframe is exceeded, the seller is granted an additional one-week period to complete the delivery.
🎬 In short:
We never leave customers without support, but we also believe in solving things calmly, without a failed-season-finale level of drama.
Orders & Payments
Orders, payments & behind-the-scenes details (The part people skip… but shouldn’t)
💳 What payment methods do you accept ?
We keep it simple and secure 🔒

Yes… and we’ve even built in a little flexibility 😌
👉 After payment, you have a 30-minute window to contact us if you’d like to:
- Change the poster size
- Switch the frame color
- Upgrade from unframed to framed
Because sometimes you realize after checkout that the black frame would look way better and that’s totally fine.
⏱️ After this 30-minute window, your order enters production. At that point, changes are no longer possible, kind of like trying to rewrite a movie after the end credits.
🖼️ Good to know about delivery:

- Unframed posters are carefully protected in a plastic protective film

🧾 Will I receive an order confirmation and invoice ?
Absolutely 😌
After placing your order, you’ll receive:
- An order confirmation email

💥 My order arrived damaged, what should I do ?
First: breathe 😌
Yes, it can happen. Even with the best carrier in the world, a delivery driver can have a bad day, be in a rush, or your package can go through a real adventure during transit.
👉 The good news:
Since working with UPS®, damaged packages are very rare.
Trust us… you don’t want to know how many emails we used to get with our previous carriers 😅
That problem is now solved thanks to:
- Stronger protection
- Better packaging
- Much more reliable delivery
But let’s be real :
Packages travel for several days. They can fall, be stacked, sometimes crushed… Honestly, we should put a GoPro inside a package to see what it goes through 🎥📦
🚚 When we hand packages over to UPS®, everything is perfect :
Paolo, our UPS® driver, comes by every day with a smile, packages leave well protected and damage-free. After that… they go on their journey.
👉 If you’re part of the 1% of cases where a package arrives damaged :
It’s not a big deal. it’s annoying (we agree), and trust me:
👉 if I ordered something and received it damaged, I’d be annoyed too.
Here’s what to do calmly 👇
- Take a photo of the package
- Take a photo of the poster
- Email us at hello@popcornposter.com
(with your order number, ex. #1001)
📩 Important - Customer support :

📬 Marion checks emails every single day and replies to everyone.

- Avoid aggressive or entitled tones
Otherwise Marion gets angry… and I have to deal with her being angry all day 😡😅
Nobody wins.
If Marion solved your issue (and trust us, she really solves them all), please consider leaving a Trustpilot review mentioning her name: Marion isn’t ChatGPT, she reads every review, and she’ll absolutely love seeing her name mentioned with positive feedback 👀😇
🎬 Bottom line :
We ship dozens of packages every day, we do everything we can to make sure everything arrives perfectly, and when something goes wrong, we own it and fix it.
Simple, human, efficient. 🫶
❓ I haven’t received my order, what should I do?
First things first, something very important 👇 (No panic, this isn’t an episode of Lost.)
👉 Make sure you entered complete and accurate contact details when placing your order:
- Correct delivery address
- Valid email address
- Phone number
Without this information, even the best carrier in the world can’t work miracles.
📦 All orders are tracked via UPS®, and the tracking is (truly) extremely precise.
🎬 A quick look at your package’s journey:
- As soon as we create your shipping label and attach it to the package → Bam, email
- Every day around 12 PM, Paolo, our awesome UPS® driver, comes by to collect the parcels
- Before your package even enters his super truck, Paolo scans each parcel one by one → Bam, email
- When he drops your package at the UPS® logistics hub for proper routing → Quick scan, Bam email
👉 Result: you receive an email at every single movement of your package. Your poster is tracked more closely than a main character in a TV series.
🖨️ Important note for custom posters:
Custom posters may require up to 24 additional hours of processing, depending on demand. Why ?
Because this one isn’t in stock, we create it ourselves, specifically for you. Nothing to worry about, it may just take a little longer, and that’s completely normal.
⏳ Now, real-world shipping reality :
Delays can happen (weather conditions, logistics issues, unexpected events). It’s not common, but it happens.
👉 We only really start worrying after 7 business days (excluding weekends).
If that timeframe is exceeded, contact us and we’ll immediately open an investigation with UPS®.
🎬 Bottom line:
We never leave a customer without a solution, but we also avoid jumping to conclusions like a Netflix thriller after 10 minutes.
If you’re really worried about where your order might be hiding, send us an email at hello@popcornposter.com and Marion will take care of the investigation with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine 🕵️♂️🚐🍿

👉 your movie exists here.
🖨️ Is the print quality actually that good ?
Let’s be honest right from the start :
👉 these are probably the worst posters of all time. Blurry, poorly printed, dull colors… Basically, the kind of quality you’d expect from a movie filmed on a phone in the back row of a cinema in 2004.
…
Okay, obviously not 😄 If that were true, we’d be selling bootleg DVDs in a parking lot.
🎬 Let’s get serious (but not too serious)
Our posters are designed to last, not just look good in an Instagram story.
🖨️ For reprinted posters (when the original isn’t available in your chosen size) :
- We use eco-friendly, long-lasting, high-quality inks
- Resistant to time and light
- To avoid the “yellowing poster after a few months” effect
📄 The paper:
- 240g museum-grade paper
- Thick, premium feel
- Elegant matte finish
Definitely not thin paper that wrinkles if you breathe near it.
🖼️ The frames:
- Made of aluminum
- Lightweight once on the wall
- Won’t warp
- Won’t lose color over time
- Impressive lifespan
The kind of frame you hang, forget about, and still looks perfect years later.
🎞️ One important (and honest) thing to know
As you might expect :
👉 The older the movie, the more the print quality depends on the original source.
A movie poster from the 1970s:
- Won’t always look ultra-sharp 4K
- And that’s completely normal
It’s like watching The Godfather: Not Dolby Vision 2025, but that’s exactly part of its charm.
🎬 Bottom line:
Our posters are:
- Carefully printed
- Made with premium materials
- Designed to last
- And respectful of cinema history
Not a tired VHS, not fake overhyped 4K, but an honest, cinematic result, as it should be.
🖼️ Are the frames high quality ?
Let’s start with the truth: 👉 of course not.
We love wasting time, money, and energy selling terrible frames.
…
Okay, obviously no 😄 If that were the case, we’d do what everyone else does: cheap, fragile frames and “good luck assembling it yourself.”
🎬 A true story
At first, we used wooden frames. On paper, they looked nice. In real life? Not so much.
👉 Once on the wall, they warped over time.
👉 And during shipping… they could literally break apart.
So we made a simple decision:
🛑 stop using wood
✅ switch to aluminum
🖼️ Why aluminum?
Because:
- It’s lightweight (no Final Destination moment for your wall)
- It doesn’t warp
- It doesn’t yellow
- It keeps its color for years
- And has an impressive lifespan
🎬 In short:
frames built to last longer than most movie trilogies.
🛠️ And most importantly… no IKEA-style assembly
When you order a framed poster from Popcorn Poster,
👉 it arrives already framed, ready to hang.
Not like:
- Some poster sellers
- Or an IKEA piece you assemble on a Sunday night with one screw left over
We do the work for you.
🎨 What we actually do (and yes, it takes time)
- We select the frame (black, chrome, white…)
- Carefully place the poster inside
- Make sure no dust or hair sneaks in
- Wrap everything in our protective sleeves
- Place it in strong packaging
- And off it goes 🚚🍿
✨ The finish
Our frames have:
- A slightly matte finish
- With just a touch of shine
Once on the wall or on a shelf, it makes a real difference in a home. Because a poster isn’t just decoration.
It’s:
- An atmosphere
- A soul
- Your personality on display
You’re not going to pick a generic, ugly frame everyone else has.
👉 Your home represents who you are.
And every day, when you walk past your poster, you’ll feel that little moment of satisfaction. You’ll see 😌
