Wood Frames Suck Worse Than No-Man's Land Rats

Wood frames? Please, those splintery relics warp faster than Blake's optimism crossing enemy lines. They yellow like old trench teeth, collect dust bunnies bigger than a German bunker, and bow under weight like Schofield dodging artillery. Enter aluminium: sleek, lightweight champ that stays flat forever, no creaks, no rot, just razor-sharp poster perfection. Bulletproof shine reflects 1917's glory without the baggage. Ditch the tree-murdering has-beens; aluminium hugs your poster like a brother-in-arms, ready for battle on any wall. Indestructible, modern, sarcasm-proof. Wood can crawl back to the sawmill.

Schofield-Tough Paper That Survives Booby Traps

Picture this: 240 g/m² glossy paper so beastly it laughs at Schofield's trench mud baths and German tripwires. We're talking premium stock that's thicker than Blake's skull when he ignored the obvious retreat trap. Vibrant colors pop like flares in no-man's land, deep blacks swallow light like that bombed-out village abyss. No flimsy drugstore junk here; this bad boy handles framing without warping, fading, or ghosting you like a flare-up pilot. Hang it proud, it's built to outlast your ex's grudges. Museum-grade shine means every detail from the dogfights to the sniper stare-downs hits like a bayonet. Schofield would approve; he'd probably use it as a shield. Tough, glossy, eternal. Your wall's new war hero.

🎬 Why this 1917 (2019) Poster is the Real Deal ? 🤩

Listen up, trench dodgers: 1917 (2019) isn't just a movie; it's a heart-pounding, one-shot fever dream that redefined war flicks. Directed by Sam Mendes, this beast follows Lance Corporals Schofield and Blake on a suicide sprint across no-man's land to stop 1,600 Brits from charging into a German buzzsaw. Hype? Through the roof since its 2019 drop. Oscar sweeps for Best Picture, Director, Cinematography, Sound, Visual Effects. Critics raved: Roger Ebert called it an immersive WWI gut-punch, living every muddy step in real-time terror.

Why's it a future classic? That insane continuous-take illusion courtesy of Roger Deakins' god-tier lens. You feel the rats, flares, snipers, and brotherly desperation. George MacKay's haunted Schofield eyes burn through the screen; Dean-Charles Chapman's eager Blake tugs heartstrings before the gut-wrench. Throw in Colin Firth's steely General Erinmore, Benedict Cumberbatch's stubborn Colonel Mackenzie, and Game of Thrones alums Richard Madden as Lt. Blake. Real history fuels it: Operation Alberich's scorched-earth retreat, Hindenburg Line traps, the raw hell of April 1917 France.

Reviews exploded: 89% Rotten Tomatoes, audiences hooked on the tension. It's not gore porn; it's poetic carnage, color-drenched nightmares in desaturated mud. Future-proof legend because Mendes based it on his granddad's WWI dispatches. No shaky cam BS; pure visual poetry that ages like fine whiskey. This poster? Captures that iconic imagery: shadowed soldiers, apocalyptic fields, the unflinching gaze. Hype peaked with trailers promising 'if you fail, massacre.' Delivered tenfold. In 2026, it's still buzzing in geek circles, collector catnip for cinephiles. Own the print that screams 'I get it' to every film nerd walk-in. Reviews cement it: immersive masterpiece, tension like a noose tightening. Classic status locked; your wall needs this relic now. Don't sleep; stock's finite like those Devons' seconds to doom.

🍿 Why you need a 1917 (2019) poster on your wall ? 🤔

This poster proves you saw 1917 (2019) first, back when normies thought WWI was black-and-white snoozefest. Slap it up and flex: 'Yeah, I endured that one-take trench nightmare while you binge-rewatched Marvel.' Schofield's steely glare mocks your cushy life; Blake's doomed optimism reminds you to hug your bro. High-energy sarcasm magnet for man-cave debates: 'Bet you cried at the flare scene.'

Persuasive punch: Walls without it are as barren as no-man's land. This bad boy elevates your pad from dorm drab to director's cut den. Guests gawk, jaws drop like that pilot's crash. 'Future classic,' you smirk, dropping Oscar trivia. Proves you're cultured, not just scrolling TikTok trenches. Hype machine: Mendes' granddad inspo, Deakins' lens wizardry turning mud into art. Own it, frame it, conquer. Without? You're the battalion charging blind. This poster screams survivor status. Geek cred skyrockets; casuals convert. Persuasion peak: Imagine explaining the river plunge to impressed dates. Wall game unbeatable. Grab it before regrets hit like artillery. Your space demands this iconic stare-down. Be the early adopter who brags eternal.

📼 Stop Scrolling 🤚 Own the 1917 (2019) Collector’s Print: Geeky Specs & Shipping

Heavyweight 240 g/m² premium poster paper isn't messing around; it's museum high quality that punches like Schofield's sniper takedown. Vibrant colors explode off the page, deep blacks suck you into no-man's land voids. You're not just buying a poster; you're acquiring a piece of 1917 (2019) history, tough enough to survive Blake's optimism-fueled detours.

Shipping? Locked and loaded. A4 and A3 formats arrive perfectly flat in reinforced protective packaging (no curls, no rolls, zero drama). Larger A2 and A1 formats are carefully rolled in heavy-duty tubes to ensure maximum protection during transit. All formats ready to be framed instantly, no trench warfare required. Geek specs: Glossy finish mirrors Deakins' lens flares, edge-to-edge print captures every rat silhouette and flare burst. Weight feels premium, hangs flat forever. Collector catnip: UV-resistant inks defy fading like Germans defy surrender. Specs scream pro: 240 g/m² base stock, archival vibes for eternal display. Shipping deets: Tracked, insured, blister-pack sealed against postal pitfalls. A4/A3: Rigid boards crush curls. A2/A1: Tubes tougher than Erinmore's orders. Unbox pristine, frame pronto. Your 1917 obsession demands this bulletproof print. No compromises, just cinematic immortality on your wall.

🎞️ Framing the Genius: 1917 (2019)’s Visual Legacy

1917 (2019)'s visual style? A masterclass in making war look like living hell painted by a mad artist. Sam Mendes and Roger Deakins craft a one-take illusion that's less movie, more visceral plunge into WWI guts. Visual language screams immersion: long, unbroken shots drag you through trenches like you're dodging the same bullets.

Color theory? Genius desaturation: mud-browns and corpse-grays dominate, pierced by blood-red flares and cherry-blossom hellscapes. No-man's land? Apocalyptic palette of ash and shadow, where greens rot into gangrene tones. Art direction nails devastation: Operation Alberich's ruins feel tactile, barbed wire like veins, craters swallowing light. Iconic imagery owns it: Schofield's river tumble, the sniper perch glow, Blake's final stare. Deakins' shallow depth-of-field blurs horrors into focus pulls that wrench guts.

Legacy? Redefined war cinema. Flames lick night skies in golden fury; dawn breaks like judgment. Every frame a composition: soldiers dwarfed by blasted earth, emphasizing futility. Cinematic tricks like hidden cuts keep the 'real-time' pulse racing. Visuals aren't backdrop; they're the star, turning history into poetry. Future heirs to Saving Private Ryan but sleeker, bolder. Frame this poster, inherit the gaze that launched Oscars.

👀 Did You Know ? 🤯 Fun facts about 1917 (2019)

1917 (2017) trivia that'll make you the trench king at parties. Sam Mendes built it from his granddad Alfred's WWI diaries; dude crossed no-man's land solo on Oct 12, 1917, dodging instant-death odds like a boss. Real stakes inspired the fake sprint.

That one-take magic? Roger Deakins hid cuts in shadows, flares, even actor blinks. 117 minutes of sweat; George MacKay starved to shed pounds, channeling Schofield's grit. Dean-Charles Chapman (Blake) and Richard Madden (Lt. Blake) both Game of Thrones vets; Tommen warning his bro? Ironic gold. Colin Firth's General Erinmore drops tea-time gravitas; Benedict Cumberbatch's Mackenzie cameo steals the stubborn show.

Production buzz: Filmed in 6-week blitz across UK, shot chronologically to amp exhaustion. Real WWI sites recreated with 1,600 extras charging for the finale. Deakins battled weather for authentic mud; cows wandered sets like lazy Germans. Sound design scooped Oscars; every boot-squelch, rat-scurry engineered for immersion. Current hype? Still streaming champ, Mendes eyeing sequels? Nah, but fan edits mash it with history docs. Cast secrets: MacKay learned piano mid-film for that eerie bunker scene. Pilot dogfight used practical effects, no CGI cheese. Germans razed villages in real Operation Alberich, mirrored perfectly. Buzzword: 10 Oscar noms, 3 wins. Fun fact jackpot: Milk carton cameo in ruins? Product placement from 1917. Own the poster; spout these, dominate pub quizzes.

FAQ's

Before you panic… welcome to our FAQ 👋 (Yes, we see you, Sherlock) Before going full John Wick on your keyboard, we’ve gathered the answers to the most common questions right here. Grab some Popcorn, your answer is probably just below 👇

Shipping & Returns

Shipping times, tracking, returns… everything you need to know before confirming your order like Neo choosing the red pill.

📦 Where do you ship ?

We don’t ship to Hawkins, Tatooine, or Westeros, but good news: we ship worldwide, including all across Europe, the UK, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and many other destinations.

🎬 Quick movie reference: In Cast Away, Tom Hanks survives on a deserted island thanks to a lost FedEx package.

Iconic scene… but definitely not the delivery experience we want for your 1917 (2019) poster 😅

👉 That’s exactly why we work with our trusted partner UPS® to make sure your package doesn’t end up lost in the middle of nowhere with only a volleyball for company.

📦 With UPS®, we offer:

  • Standard or Express delivery
  • Home delivery or UPS® Access Point (relay pickup)

💰 Shipping rates:

  • €4.95 standard shipping
  • Free shipping on orders over €50 with UPS® Access Point delivery

📍 The UPS® pickup point selection is made after payment.

⚠️ Please make sure to enter a valid email address and phone number, they’re essential for real-time tracking updates and delivery notifications.

Bottom line: at Popcorn Poster, your package arrives safely at your door, not on a deserted beach with “HELP” written in the sand.

⏱️ How long does delivery take ?

Great question and don’t worry, the answer won’t last as long as Titanic.

📦 All orders leave our warehouses within 24 hours after being placed. No waiting around like Tom Hanks in The Terminal.

🚚 Two delivery options with our partner UPS®:

  • Express delivery: 24–48 hours, depending on the destination country ( Faster than The Flash, no super suit required )
  • Standard delivery: around 1-6 business days ( Perfect if you’re not in a rush like Frodo heading to Mordor )

📍 All shipments are fully tracked in real time.
⚠️ Make sure to enter a valid email address and phone number at checkout — they’re essential to receive UPS® tracking updates at every step of the journey.

🌧️ Real-world disclaimer : Occasional delays can happen due to weather conditions, high shipping volumes or unexpected events. No need to panic, we usually start investigating after 7 business days (excluding weekends).

🚀 Why UPS®?
Because it’s simply the fastest international carrier, with one of the best delivery services in the world. We’d rather invest in reliability than turn your delivery into a Mission: Impossible scenario.

💸 We cover a large part of the shipping costs, because our goal is simple: to offer you the best delivery service possible, wherever you are in the world, no compromises.

Bottom line: your poster arrives fast, fully tracked, and without any Indiana Jones level adventures.

📍 Can I track my order ?

Yes. And not just “kind of” 😌 As soon as your order leaves our warehouse, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a UPS® tracking link.

📦 With UPS®, you can track your poster in real time, step by step, almost like Nick Fury monitoring his agents.

📲 For tracking to work perfectly, it’s very important to double-check all your details before placing your order:

  • Complete and correct delivery address (This happens every day: missing house number, wrong country selected, incomplete street name…)
  • Valid and accessible email address
  • Correct phone number

🎬 Let’s be honest:
All we want is for your package with your awesome new poster to arrive as fast as possible, and in perfect condition.

A quick check now saves you from needing a Back to the Future-style time travel to fix a wrong address.

📧 One more important thing about email:
Please don’t use a throwaway or inaccessible email address. We won’t spam you (we’re not Skynet), but:

  • UPS® pickup codes are sent by email
  • Delivery notifications too

Without access to your inbox, there’s unfortunately nothing we can do, and your package may vanish forever, like a lost VHS tape from the 90s.

🎥 In short:
You know where your package is, when it arrives, and how to collect it, no need to play Sherlock Holmes or watch the street like Walter White behind the curtains.

🔄 What if I want to return my poster ?

We get it, even Citizen Kane didn’t please everyone.

🎨 Custom posters

Custom posters are non-returnable and non-refundable. They’re printed specifically for you, like a James Bond–tailored suit: once it’s made, it’s yours.

📦 Non-custom posters

For non-custom posters, please refer to our detailed return policy at the bottom of the page, under “Delivery Issues”. This section clearly explains return, refund, and resolution conditions.

🚚 Delivery issues (delay, lost or damaged package) If:

  • Your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe
  • Your package is lost
  • Your poster arrives damaged

👉 contact us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll immediately work with the carrier (UPS®) to resolve the issue.

📅 Please note:
The carrier has a formal process and timeline to declare a package as lost, 15 days after the estimated delivery date. Before that, the package is officially still “in transit”.

⏳ Delivery delays & right to a refund

The right to a refund for delivery delays only applies if the delay is not caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond the seller’s control (weather conditions, strikes, exceptional events, etc.).

According to European Directive 2011/83/EU:

  • If no fixed delivery time is specified (only an estimate),
  • The seller must deliver the order within a reasonable timeframe, typically up to 30 days from the order confirmation

If this timeframe is exceeded, the seller is granted an additional one-week period to complete the delivery.

🎬 In short:
We never leave customers without support, but we also believe in solving things calmly, without a failed-season-finale level of drama.

Orders & Payments

Orders, payments & behind-the-scenes details (The part people skip… but shouldn’t)

💳 What payment methods do you accept ?

We keep it simple and secure 🔒

We accept:

  • Credit & debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

All payments are 100% secure. Even Bruce Wayne would approve this checkout.

✏️ Can I change or cancel my order ?

Yes… and we’ve even built in a little flexibility 😌

👉 After payment, you have a 30-minute window to contact us if you’d like to:

  • Change the poster size
  • Switch the frame color
  • Upgrade from unframed to framed

Because sometimes you realize after checkout that the black frame would look way better and that’s totally fine.

⏱️ After this 30-minute window, your order enters production. At that point, changes are no longer possible, kind of like trying to rewrite a movie after the end credits.

🖼️ Good to know about delivery:

  • Framed posters arrive fully framed, ready to hang
  • Unframed posters are carefully protected in a plastic protective film
  • A4 and A3 unframed posters are shipped flat, not rolled, to prevent any deformation and ensure a perfect finish right out of the package

Our goal is simple:

to make sure your poster arrives fast, well-protected, and exactly how you imagined it, no bad surprises.

🧾 Will I receive an order confirmation and invoice ?

Absolutely 😌

After placing your order, you’ll receive:

  • An order confirmation email
  • An invoice with all details

If you don’t see it, check your spam folder (sometimes emails disappear like mail at Hogwarts).

Need a custom invoice? Just contact us.

💥 My order arrived damaged, what should I do ?

First: breathe 😌
Yes, it can happen. Even with the best carrier in the world, a delivery driver can have a bad day, be in a rush, or your package can go through a real adventure during transit.

👉 The good news:
Since working with UPS®, damaged packages are very rare.
Trust us… you don’t want to know how many emails we used to get with our previous carriers 😅

That problem is now solved thanks to:

  • Stronger protection
  • Better packaging
  • Much more reliable delivery

But let’s be real :
Packages travel for several days. They can fall, be stacked, sometimes crushed… Honestly, we should put a GoPro inside a package to see what it goes through 🎥📦

🚚 When we hand packages over to UPS®, everything is perfect :

Paolo, our UPS® driver, comes by every day with a smile, packages leave well protected and damage-free. After that… they go on their journey.

👉 If you’re part of the 1% of cases where a package arrives damaged :

It’s not a big deal. it’s annoying (we agree), and trust me:

👉 if I ordered something and received it damaged, I’d be annoyed too.

Here’s what to do calmly 👇

  1. Take a photo of the package
  2. Take a photo of the poster
  3. Email us at hello@popcornposter.com

(with your order number, ex. #1001)

📩 Important - Customer support :
Our customer service is handled exclusively by email.

🙅‍♂️ Not via Instagram

🙅‍♂️ Not via TikTok

🙅‍♂️ And unfortunately… not by owls either ⚡🦉

Why ? Because email allows us to :

  • Properly track your case
  • Keep all information in one place
  • Respond quickly and efficiently

📬 Marion checks emails every single day and replies to everyone.

If we have all the required info, within 24 hours, we’ll find a solution together, fast, and one that works for you.

🙏 Friendly advice :

  • Please avoid ALL CAPS emails
  • Avoid aggressive or entitled tones

Otherwise Marion gets angry… and I have to deal with her being angry all day 😡😅

Nobody wins.

If Marion solved your issue (and trust us, she really solves them all), please consider leaving a Trustpilot review mentioning her name: Marion isn’t ChatGPT, she reads every review, and she’ll absolutely love seeing her name mentioned with positive feedback 👀😇

🎬 Bottom line :

We ship dozens of packages every day, we do everything we can to make sure everything arrives perfectly, and when something goes wrong, we own it and fix it.

Simple, human, efficient. 🫶

❓ I haven’t received my order, what should I do?

First things first, something very important 👇 (No panic, this isn’t an episode of Lost.)

👉 Make sure you entered complete and accurate contact details when placing your order:

  • Correct delivery address
  • Valid email address
  • Phone number

Without this information, even the best carrier in the world can’t work miracles.

📦 All orders are tracked via UPS®, and the tracking is (truly) extremely precise.

🎬 A quick look at your package’s journey:

  • As soon as we create your shipping label and attach it to the package → Bam, email
  • Every day around 12 PM, Paolo, our awesome UPS® driver, comes by to collect the parcels
  • Before your package even enters his super truck, Paolo scans each parcel one by oneBam, email
  • When he drops your package at the UPS® logistics hub for proper routing → Quick scan, Bam email

👉 Result: you receive an email at every single movement of your package. Your poster is tracked more closely than a main character in a TV series.

🖨️ Important note for custom posters:

Custom posters may require up to 24 additional hours of processing, depending on demand. Why ?

Because this one isn’t in stock, we create it ourselves, specifically for you. Nothing to worry about, it may just take a little longer, and that’s completely normal.

Now, real-world shipping reality :

Delays can happen (weather conditions, logistics issues, unexpected events). It’s not common, but it happens.

👉 We only really start worrying after 7 business days (excluding weekends).

If that timeframe is exceeded, contact us and we’ll immediately open an investigation with UPS®.

🎬 Bottom line:
We never leave a customer without a solution, but we also avoid jumping to conclusions like a Netflix thriller after 10 minutes.

If you’re really worried about where your order might be hiding, send us an email at hello@popcornposter.com and Marion will take care of the investigation with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine 🕵️‍♂️🚐🍿

About Our Products

This is where we answer all the questions your brain asks while staring at a poster thinking : “Okay… but is it really that cool in real life?” Spoiler: it is.

🍿 What kind of posters do you sell ?

At Popcorn Poster, we don’t do “a bit of home decor.” We do cinema. A lot of cinema. Probably too much cinema. 🎬🍿

More specifically, our catalog includes thousands of movie and TV series posters, in multiple languages, sourced from cinemas all around the world.

Yes ! we’re talking about one of the largest movie poster catalogs in the world. And no, we’re not just saying that for fun (okay… maybe a little).

You’ll find posters from:

  • 🎥 cult movies you can quote by heart
  • 🏛️ timeless classics you deeply respect
  • 🚀 recent films that blew your mind
  • 📺 iconic TV series you binge-watched “just one episode”… until sunrise

And most importantly : 👉 in multiple languages, because cinema has never spoken just one.

🎞️ Where do our posters come from?

Our posters can be:

  • Original cinema posters, used in theaters around the world
  • Or high-quality reprints, when the original isn’t available in the size you choose

Either way, we’re obsessive about quality, so the final result looks amazing on your wall, not just accurate on paper.

🎬 What if I can’t find the movie or series of my dreams?

That’s exactly why we created CHOOSE YOUR MOVIE 🕶️ If you can’t find what you’re looking for :

  1. Simply type the movie or TV show name
  2. Choose the size
  3. And we take care of the rest

👉 No endless searching

👉 No comparing random websites

👉 No DIY headaches

You choose.

We print.

You receive your poster.

🎥 In short:

Popcorn Poster means:

  • A massive catalog
  • Worldwide cinema
  • Thousands of references
  • And the certainty that even if you don’t see it right away…

    👉 your movie exists here.
🖨️ Is the print quality actually that good ?

Let’s be honest right from the start :

👉 these are probably the worst posters of all time. Blurry, poorly printed, dull colors… Basically, the kind of quality you’d expect from a movie filmed on a phone in the back row of a cinema in 2004.

Okay, obviously not 😄 If that were true, we’d be selling bootleg DVDs in a parking lot.

🎬 Let’s get serious (but not too serious)

Our posters are designed to last, not just look good in an Instagram story.

🖨️ For reprinted posters (when the original isn’t available in your chosen size) :

  • We use eco-friendly, long-lasting, high-quality inks
  • Resistant to time and light
  • To avoid the “yellowing poster after a few months” effect

📄 The paper:

  • 240g museum-grade paper
  • Thick, premium feel
  • Elegant matte finish

Definitely not thin paper that wrinkles if you breathe near it.

🖼️ The frames:

  • Made of aluminum
  • Lightweight once on the wall
  • Won’t warp
  • Won’t lose color over time
  • Impressive lifespan

The kind of frame you hang, forget about, and still looks perfect years later.

🎞️ One important (and honest) thing to know

As you might expect :

👉 The older the movie, the more the print quality depends on the original source.

A movie poster from the 1970s:

  • Won’t always look ultra-sharp 4K
  • And that’s completely normal

It’s like watching The Godfather: Not Dolby Vision 2025, but that’s exactly part of its charm.

🎬 Bottom line:

Our posters are:

  • Carefully printed
  • Made with premium materials
  • Designed to last
  • And respectful of cinema history

Not a tired VHS, not fake overhyped 4K, but an honest, cinematic result, as it should be.

🖼️ Are the frames high quality ?

Let’s start with the truth: 👉 of course not.
We love wasting time, money, and energy selling terrible frames.

Okay, obviously no 😄 If that were the case, we’d do what everyone else does: cheap, fragile frames and “good luck assembling it yourself.”

🎬 A true story

At first, we used wooden frames. On paper, they looked nice. In real life? Not so much.

👉 Once on the wall, they warped over time.

👉 And during shipping… they could literally break apart.

So we made a simple decision:

🛑 stop using wood

✅ switch to aluminum

🖼️ Why aluminum?

Because:

  • It’s lightweight (no Final Destination moment for your wall)
  • It doesn’t warp
  • It doesn’t yellow
  • It keeps its color for years
  • And has an impressive lifespan

🎬 In short:

frames built to last longer than most movie trilogies.

🛠️ And most importantly… no IKEA-style assembly

When you order a framed poster from Popcorn Poster,

👉 it arrives already framed, ready to hang.

Not like:

  • Some poster sellers
  • Or an IKEA piece you assemble on a Sunday night with one screw left over

We do the work for you.

🎨 What we actually do (and yes, it takes time)

  • We select the frame (black, chrome, white…)
  • Carefully place the poster inside
  • Make sure no dust or hair sneaks in
  • Wrap everything in our protective sleeves
  • Place it in strong packaging
  • And off it goes 🚚🍿

✨ The finish

Our frames have:

  • A slightly matte finish
  • With just a touch of shine

Once on the wall or on a shelf, it makes a real difference in a home. Because a poster isn’t just decoration.

It’s:

  • An atmosphere
  • A soul
  • Your personality on display

You’re not going to pick a generic, ugly frame everyone else has.

👉 Your home represents who you are.

And every day, when you walk past your poster, you’ll feel that little moment of satisfaction. You’ll see 😌
