Aluminum Frames Only: We Don't Do Wood Crimes

Look, we get it. Wood frames feel 'warm' and 'authentic.' They also warp, attract bugs, and make your rare action gem look like it belongs in a dentist's waiting room. Our aluminum frames? Premium, sleek, and won't judge your taste in 90s cult cinema. The metal catches light like a bullet's reflection off Tadashi Yamashita's sunglasses. Your Young Rebels poster deserves a frame that respects the source material. Aluminum delivers that respect without the pretension or the termite damage. Your wall. Your rules. No compromises.

Young Rebels (1989)

Built Like Robert Z'Dar's Jaw: Unbreakable

We're talking 240 g/m² glossy premium poster paper here, the same weight used by museums to preserve actual history. Except this history is about two guys punching their way through organized crime. Your poster won't fade, won't yellow, won't betray you like a snitch in a cartel drama. The colors stay vibrant, the blacks stay deep, and the image quality stays crisp enough to see the exact moment Johnny Greene realizes he's in way over his head. This isn't flimsy dorm room material. This is the kind of poster that makes visitors ask, 'Wait, is this a real movie?' Yes. Yes it is. And now you own proof.

🎬 Why this Young Rebels (1989) Poster is the Real Deal 🤩

Young Rebels (1989) isn't just an action film-it's a cultural artifact from an era when practical effects meant real danger and scripts prioritized chaos over coherence. Directed by Amir Shervan, the visionary behind Samurai Cop, this 90-minute masterclass in unfiltered action cinema stars Johnny Greene and Tadashi Yamashita as unlikely partners taking down a drug cartel run by the imposing Robert Z'Dar. What makes this film legendary among action aficionados isn't just the premise; it's the execution.

The movie arrived during a golden age of direct-to-video action flicks, when studios still greenlit projects that were genuinely unpredictable. Young Rebels represents that reckless spirit perfectly. It's the kind of film that prompts instant cult following because it refuses to apologize for its ambitions or its budget limitations. Johnny Greene's deadpan delivery mixed with Yamashita's martial arts prowess creates a dynamic that mainstream Hollywood has spent decades trying to replicate without success.

This poster captures that electric energy in a single frame. It's not just promotional material; it's a declaration of taste. Owning this poster signals that you didn't discover action movies through algorithmic streaming recommendations. You found Young Rebels through word of mouth, late-night cable, or pure persistence. You appreciated it before it became a meme in niche cinema circles.

The image itself immortalizes a moment from a production that had no business working but absolutely did. The composition, the color grading, the raw intensity-everything screams authenticity. This isn't computer-generated fan art. This is original promotional material from the 1989 release, now available in museum-quality print.

Collectors of 90s action cinema understand something mainstream audiences are only now grasping: that era produced films with genuine personality. Young Rebels is Exhibit A. The poster proves you were there. It proves you got it. It proves you understand that sometimes the best action films exist in the margins, waiting for people willing to look beyond the obvious. This is the poster that separates the true cinephiles from the passive viewers. This is legitimacy in physical form.

🍿 Why you need a Young Rebels (1989) poster on your wall 🤔

Here's the hard truth: everyone with basic taste has a Pulp Fiction poster. Half the internet owns Scarface. Young Rebels? Young Rebels is the poster that proves you didn't just consume what was spoon-fed to you by multiplexes and recommendation algorithms.

This poster is a conversation starter that actually separates people into two camps: those who immediately recognize genius when they see it, and those who ask 'Is this real?' The answer is yes, it's real, and now you have proof mounted on your wall. This isn't just decoration-it's a statement of authenticity in a sea of basic taste.

When friends see this poster, they're meeting the version of you that discovered Young Rebels. The version that appreciated Amir Shervan's directorial vision before it became a cult phenomenon. The version that understood that Johnny Greene's chemistry with Tadashi Yamashita was lightning in a bottle that Hollywood keeps trying and failing to recreate.

Every time you glance at this poster, you're reminded that 1989 was a different era. An era when action films took risks. When directors didn't need $200 million budgets to make audiences care about the outcome. When a movie could be weird, unpredictable, and absolutely necessary all at once. This poster captures that energy and preserves it.

This is the poster for people who actually have opinions about cinema. This is the poster that makes your wall a gallery of personal conviction rather than a catalog of what Netflix suggested. This is the poster that proves you saw it first, understood it immediately, and never let it go.

Own it. Mount it. Let it speak for you.

🎞️ Framing the Genius: Young Rebels (1989)'s Visual Legacy

Young Rebels exists in a specific visual language that defines late-80s direct-to-video action cinema. Amir Shervan's directorial approach prioritized clarity and impact over artistic flourish, creating a visual framework where every frame communicates urgency and stakes.

The color grading reflects the era's distinct aesthetic: saturated primary colors mixed with practical lighting that emphasizes the physicality of action sequences. Blues dominate the cooler moments, establishing tension and danger. Reds and warm tones punctuate climactic confrontations. This isn't accidental-it's visual storytelling through chromatic intentionality. The cinematography refuses subtlety because the material demands immediacy.

Art direction reinforces the cartel-versus-heroes dynamic through environmental design. Urban settings feel lived-in, gritty, and threatening. Interior spaces reflect character status: Johnny Greene's world is austere, practical, almost monastic. The cartel's spaces exude wealth and corruption. This visual contrast is the poster's central tension-two men from necessity facing an empire built on excess.

The poster composition itself captures this duality perfectly. The positioning of Johnny Greene and Tadashi Yamashita conveys partnership without softness. Their body language communicates competence, tension, and the absolute refusal to back down. Behind them, Robert Z'Dar's presence looms-not through size but through the visual architecture of the composition itself.

Lighting design in Young Rebels employs practical sources: streetlights, neon, fluorescent interiors. Nothing romantic. Nothing softened. The poster preserves this aesthetic choice by maintaining sharp contrasts and refusing ambient diffusion. Every shadow is earned. Every highlight is intentional.

This visual language was the signature of 1989 action cinema-a visual dialect that's now been replaced by digital color grading and algorithmic visual effects. The poster documents that dialect perfectly.

👀 Did You Know 🤯 Fun facts about Young Rebels (1989)

Young Rebels represents a fascinating moment in cinema history when Amir Shervan, fresh off directing Samurai Cop, continued exploring the outer boundaries of action filmmaking. Shervan's approach rejected conventional production wisdom-he favored practical effects, real locations, and performances that prioritized authenticity over polish.

The casting of Johnny Greene and Tadashi Yamashita created an unexpected chemistry. Greene brought a weathered, world-weary intensity to his role as a man drawn into dangerous circumstances. Yamashita contributed legitimate martial arts expertise, making action sequences genuinely dangerous rather than choreographed theater. Their partnership on-screen reflected genuine professional respect, creating a dynamic that many mainstream action films fail to achieve with significantly larger budgets.

Robert Z'Dar's casting as the cartel leader was inspired. Z'Dar possessed a naturally intimidating presence-his distinctive features and bearing conveyed menace without requiring excessive dialogue or explanation. He embodied threat through sheer physicality and screen presence.

The production operated under the practical constraints of late-80s action cinema. No CGI. No digital enhancements. No safety nets. Every stunt, every fight sequence, every moment of danger was real. This methodology created an authenticity that modern audiences recognize and respect, even as contemporary filmmaking moved toward digital solutions.

Young Rebels has experienced a remarkable resurgence in appreciation over the past decade. Cult cinema enthusiasts and serious action aficionados now recognize the film as a genuine achievement rather than merely a curiosity. Streaming platforms and home video releases introduced new generations to Shervan's vision. The film's cult status has transformed from obscure footnote to essential viewing for action cinema scholars.

The poster itself represents an artifact from the original promotional campaign-a piece of marketing material from an era before algorithmic promotion and digital distribution. Owning this poster means owning a fragment of that original moment when Young Rebels first claimed its place in action cinema history.

🚚 Two delivery options with our partner UPS®:

  • Express delivery: 24–48 hours, depending on the destination country ( Faster than The Flash, no super suit required )

🌧️ Real-world disclaimer : Occasional delays can happen due to weather conditions, high shipping volumes or unexpected events. No need to panic, we usually start investigating after 7 business days (excluding weekends).

🚀 Why UPS®?
Because it’s simply the fastest international carrier, with one of the best delivery services in the world. We’d rather invest in reliability than turn your delivery into a Mission: Impossible scenario.

💸 We cover a large part of the shipping costs, because our goal is simple: to offer you the best delivery service possible, wherever you are in the world, no compromises.

Bottom line: your poster arrives fast, fully tracked, and without any Indiana Jones level adventures.

Yes. And not just “kind of” 😌 As soon as your order leaves our warehouse, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a UPS® tracking link.

📦 With UPS®, you can track your poster in real time, step by step, almost like Nick Fury monitoring his agents.

📲 For tracking to work perfectly, it’s very important to double-check all your details before placing your order:

  • Complete and correct delivery address (This happens every day: missing house number, wrong country selected, incomplete street name…)
  • Valid and accessible email address
  • Correct phone number

🎬 Let’s be honest:
All we want is for your package with your awesome new poster to arrive as fast as possible, and in perfect condition.

A quick check now saves you from needing a Back to the Future-style time travel to fix a wrong address.

📧 One more important thing about email:
Please don’t use a throwaway or inaccessible email address. We won’t spam you (we’re not Skynet), but:

  • UPS® pickup codes are sent by email
  • Delivery notifications too

Without access to your inbox, there’s unfortunately nothing we can do, and your package may vanish forever, like a lost VHS tape from the 90s.

🎥 In short:
You know where your package is, when it arrives, and how to collect it, no need to play Sherlock Holmes or watch the street like Walter White behind the curtains.

🔄 What if I want to return my poster ?

We get it, even Citizen Kane didn’t please everyone.

🎨 Custom posters

Custom posters are non-returnable and non-refundable. They’re printed specifically for you, like a James Bond–tailored suit: once it’s made, it’s yours.

📦 Non-custom posters

For non-custom posters, please refer to our detailed return policy at the bottom of the page, under “Delivery Issues”. This section clearly explains return, refund, and resolution conditions.

🚚 Delivery issues (delay, lost or damaged package) If:

  • Your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe
  • Your package is lost
  • Your poster arrives damaged

👉 contact us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll immediately work with the carrier (UPS®) to resolve the issue.

📅 Please note:
The carrier has a formal process and timeline to declare a package as lost, 15 days after the estimated delivery date. Before that, the package is officially still “in transit”.

⏳ Delivery delays & right to a refund

The right to a refund for delivery delays only applies if the delay is not caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond the seller’s control (weather conditions, strikes, exceptional events, etc.).

According to European Directive 2011/83/EU:

  • If no fixed delivery time is specified (only an estimate),
  • The seller must deliver the order within a reasonable timeframe, typically up to 30 days from the order confirmation

If this timeframe is exceeded, the seller is granted an additional one-week period to complete the delivery.

🎬 In short:
We never leave customers without support, but we also believe in solving things calmly, without a failed-season-finale level of drama.

Orders & Payments

Orders, payments & behind-the-scenes details (The part people skip… but shouldn’t)

💳 What payment methods do you accept ?

We keep it simple and secure 🔒

We accept:

  • Credit & debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

All payments are 100% secure. Even Bruce Wayne would approve this checkout.

✏️ Can I change or cancel my order ?

Yes… and we’ve even built in a little flexibility 😌

👉 After payment, you have a 30-minute window to contact us if you’d like to:

  • Change the poster size
  • Switch the frame color
  • Upgrade from unframed to framed

Because sometimes you realize after checkout that the black frame would look way better and that’s totally fine.

⏱️ After this 30-minute window, your order enters production. At that point, changes are no longer possible, kind of like trying to rewrite a movie after the end credits.

🖼️ Good to know about delivery:

  • Framed posters arrive fully framed, ready to hang
  • Unframed posters are carefully protected in a plastic protective film
  • A4 and A3 unframed posters are shipped flat, not rolled, to prevent any deformation and ensure a perfect finish right out of the package

Our goal is simple:

to make sure your poster arrives fast, well-protected, and exactly how you imagined it, no bad surprises.

🧾 Will I receive an order confirmation and invoice ?

Absolutely 😌

After placing your order, you’ll receive:

  • An order confirmation email
  • An invoice with all details

If you don’t see it, check your spam folder (sometimes emails disappear like mail at Hogwarts).

Need a custom invoice? Just contact us.

💥 My order arrived damaged, what should I do ?

First: breathe 😌
Yes, it can happen. Even with the best carrier in the world, a delivery driver can have a bad day, be in a rush, or your package can go through a real adventure during transit.

👉 The good news:
Since working with UPS®, damaged packages are very rare.
Trust us… you don’t want to know how many emails we used to get with our previous carriers 😅

That problem is now solved thanks to:

  • Stronger protection
  • Better packaging
  • Much more reliable delivery

But let’s be real :
Packages travel for several days. They can fall, be stacked, sometimes crushed… Honestly, we should put a GoPro inside a package to see what it goes through 🎥📦

🚚 When we hand packages over to UPS®, everything is perfect :

Paolo, our UPS® driver, comes by every day with a smile, packages leave well protected and damage-free. After that… they go on their journey.

👉 If you’re part of the 1% of cases where a package arrives damaged :

It’s not a big deal. it’s annoying (we agree), and trust me:

👉 if I ordered something and received it damaged, I’d be annoyed too.

Here’s what to do calmly 👇

  1. Take a photo of the package
  2. Take a photo of the poster
  3. Email us at hello@popcornposter.com

(with your order number, ex. #1001)

📩 Important - Customer support :
Our customer service is handled exclusively by email.

🙅‍♂️ Not via Instagram

🙅‍♂️ Not via TikTok

🙅‍♂️ And unfortunately… not by owls either ⚡🦉

Why ? Because email allows us to :

  • Properly track your case
  • Keep all information in one place
  • Respond quickly and efficiently

📬 Marion checks emails every single day and replies to everyone.

If we have all the required info, within 24 hours, we’ll find a solution together, fast, and one that works for you.

🙏 Friendly advice :

  • Please avoid ALL CAPS emails
  • Avoid aggressive or entitled tones

Otherwise Marion gets angry… and I have to deal with her being angry all day 😡😅

Nobody wins.

If Marion solved your issue (and trust us, she really solves them all), please consider leaving a Trustpilot review mentioning her name: Marion isn’t ChatGPT, she reads every review, and she’ll absolutely love seeing her name mentioned with positive feedback 👀😇

🎬 Bottom line :

We ship dozens of packages every day, we do everything we can to make sure everything arrives perfectly, and when something goes wrong, we own it and fix it.

Simple, human, efficient. 🫶

❓ I haven’t received my order, what should I do?

First things first, something very important 👇 (No panic, this isn’t an episode of Lost.)

👉 Make sure you entered complete and accurate contact details when placing your order:

  • Correct delivery address
  • Valid email address
  • Phone number

Without this information, even the best carrier in the world can’t work miracles.

📦 All orders are tracked via UPS®, and the tracking is (truly) extremely precise.

🎬 A quick look at your package’s journey:

  • As soon as we create your shipping label and attach it to the package → Bam, email
  • Every day around 12 PM, Paolo, our awesome UPS® driver, comes by to collect the parcels
  • Before your package even enters his super truck, Paolo scans each parcel one by oneBam, email
  • When he drops your package at the UPS® logistics hub for proper routing → Quick scan, Bam email

👉 Result: you receive an email at every single movement of your package. Your poster is tracked more closely than a main character in a TV series.

🖨️ Important note for custom posters:

Custom posters may require up to 24 additional hours of processing, depending on demand. Why ?

Because this one isn’t in stock, we create it ourselves, specifically for you. Nothing to worry about, it may just take a little longer, and that’s completely normal.

Now, real-world shipping reality :

Delays can happen (weather conditions, logistics issues, unexpected events). It’s not common, but it happens.

👉 We only really start worrying after 7 business days (excluding weekends).

If that timeframe is exceeded, contact us and we’ll immediately open an investigation with UPS®.

🎬 Bottom line:
We never leave a customer without a solution, but we also avoid jumping to conclusions like a Netflix thriller after 10 minutes.

If you’re really worried about where your order might be hiding, send us an email at hello@popcornposter.com and Marion will take care of the investigation with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine 🕵️‍♂️🚐🍿

About Our Products

This is where we answer all the questions your brain asks while staring at a poster thinking : “Okay… but is it really that cool in real life?” Spoiler: it is.

🍿 What kind of posters do you sell ?

At Popcorn Poster, we don’t do “a bit of home decor.” We do cinema. A lot of cinema. Probably too much cinema. 🎬🍿

More specifically, our catalog includes thousands of movie and TV series posters, in multiple languages, sourced from cinemas all around the world.

Yes ! we’re talking about one of the largest movie poster catalogs in the world. And no, we’re not just saying that for fun (okay… maybe a little).

You’ll find posters from:

  • 🎥 cult movies you can quote by heart
  • 🏛️ timeless classics you deeply respect
  • 🚀 recent films that blew your mind
  • 📺 iconic TV series you binge-watched “just one episode”… until sunrise

And most importantly : 👉 in multiple languages, because cinema has never spoken just one.

🎞️ Where do our posters come from?

Our posters can be:

  • Original cinema posters, used in theaters around the world
  • Or high-quality reprints, when the original isn’t available in the size you choose

Either way, we’re obsessive about quality, so the final result looks amazing on your wall, not just accurate on paper.

🎬 What if I can’t find the movie or series of my dreams?

That’s exactly why we created CHOOSE YOUR MOVIE 🕶️ If you can’t find what you’re looking for :

  1. Simply type the movie or TV show name
  2. Choose the size
  3. And we take care of the rest

👉 No endless searching

👉 No comparing random websites

👉 No DIY headaches

You choose.

We print.

You receive your poster.

🎥 In short:

Popcorn Poster means:

  • A massive catalog
  • Worldwide cinema
  • Thousands of references
  • And the certainty that even if you don’t see it right away…

    👉 your movie exists here.
🖨️ Is the print quality actually that good ?

Let’s be honest right from the start :

👉 these are probably the worst posters of all time. Blurry, poorly printed, dull colors… Basically, the kind of quality you’d expect from a movie filmed on a phone in the back row of a cinema in 2004.

Okay, obviously not 😄 If that were true, we’d be selling bootleg DVDs in a parking lot.

🎬 Let’s get serious (but not too serious)

Our posters are designed to last, not just look good in an Instagram story.

🖨️ For reprinted posters (when the original isn’t available in your chosen size) :

  • We use eco-friendly, long-lasting, high-quality inks
  • Resistant to time and light
  • To avoid the “yellowing poster after a few months” effect

📄 The paper:

  • 240g museum-grade paper
  • Thick, premium feel
  • Elegant matte finish

Definitely not thin paper that wrinkles if you breathe near it.

🖼️ The frames:

  • Made of aluminum
  • Lightweight once on the wall
  • Won’t warp
  • Won’t lose color over time
  • Impressive lifespan

The kind of frame you hang, forget about, and still looks perfect years later.

🎞️ One important (and honest) thing to know

As you might expect :

👉 The older the movie, the more the print quality depends on the original source.

A movie poster from the 1970s:

  • Won’t always look ultra-sharp 4K
  • And that’s completely normal

It’s like watching The Godfather: Not Dolby Vision 2025, but that’s exactly part of its charm.

🎬 Bottom line:

Our posters are:

  • Carefully printed
  • Made with premium materials
  • Designed to last
  • And respectful of cinema history

Not a tired VHS, not fake overhyped 4K, but an honest, cinematic result, as it should be.

🖼️ Are the frames high quality ?

Let’s start with the truth: 👉 of course not.
We love wasting time, money, and energy selling terrible frames.

Okay, obviously no 😄 If that were the case, we’d do what everyone else does: cheap, fragile frames and “good luck assembling it yourself.”

🎬 A true story

At first, we used wooden frames. On paper, they looked nice. In real life? Not so much.

👉 Once on the wall, they warped over time.

👉 And during shipping… they could literally break apart.

So we made a simple decision:

🛑 stop using wood

✅ switch to aluminum

🖼️ Why aluminum?

Because:

  • It’s lightweight (no Final Destination moment for your wall)
  • It doesn’t warp
  • It doesn’t yellow
  • It keeps its color for years
  • And has an impressive lifespan

🎬 In short:

frames built to last longer than most movie trilogies.

🛠️ And most importantly… no IKEA-style assembly

When you order a framed poster from Popcorn Poster,

👉 it arrives already framed, ready to hang.

Not like:

  • Some poster sellers
  • Or an IKEA piece you assemble on a Sunday night with one screw left over

We do the work for you.

🎨 What we actually do (and yes, it takes time)

  • We select the frame (black, chrome, white…)
  • Carefully place the poster inside
  • Make sure no dust or hair sneaks in
  • Wrap everything in our protective sleeves
  • Place it in strong packaging
  • And off it goes 🚚🍿

✨ The finish

Our frames have:

  • A slightly matte finish
  • With just a touch of shine

Once on the wall or on a shelf, it makes a real difference in a home. Because a poster isn’t just decoration.

It’s:

  • An atmosphere
  • A soul
  • Your personality on display

You’re not going to pick a generic, ugly frame everyone else has.

👉 Your home represents who you are.

And every day, when you walk past your poster, you’ll feel that little moment of satisfaction. You’ll see 😌
