📏 Size Guide & Finishes
🎞️ Size Guide: Pick Your "Blockbuster" Format
Whether you’re decorating a cozy "indie movie" studio or an IMAX-sized living room, we’ve got the perfect aspect ratio for your walls.
⚪ A4 : 21 x 29.7 cm (8.3 x 11.7 in) The "Grogu" Format. Small, cute, but packs a serious Force. Perfect for building a "Wall of Fame" in tight spaces.
⚪ A3 : 29.7 x 42 cm (11.7 x 16.5 in) The "Multiverse" Format. Not too big, not too small. Perfectly balanced, as Thanos would say (but without snapping half your decor away).
⚪ A2 : 42 x 59.4 cm (16.5 x 23.4 in) The "Heisenberg" Format. Now we’re cooking. This size doesn't just sit there; it’s the one who knocks on your living room door.
⚪ A1 : 59.4 x 84.1 cm (23.4 x 33.1 in) The "King Kong" Format. The Final Boss. A poster so massive it could probably stop a White Walker invasion. Go Big or Go Home.
🖼️ Finishes & Frames
Choose your art Raw (Unframed) or Upgraded in our premium aluminum armor :
- Black Aluminum: The "Dark Knight" Style. Sleek, matte, and elegant. It’s the James Bond tuxedo for your poster. A timeless classic.
- Chrome Aluminum: The "Stark Tech" Style. Polished, shiny, and futuristic. For that high-end Cyberpunk gallery vibe.
📦 Shipping & Handling
We treat your posters with more respect than John Wick treats his dog. Guaranteed no "spoilers" (or creases) upon arrival !
- A4 & A3 (Unframed): These travel flat in heavy-duty reinforced armor. More bulletproof than the A-Team van.
- A2 & A1 (Unframed): Carefully rolled in protective tissue paper and tucked into extra-strong tubes. They arrive ready to be unrolled like a Red Carpet at Cannes.
- Framed Posters (All Sizes): Maximum protection. We use specialized shock-resistant boxes and reinforced corners. Even a Fast & Furious car chase wouldn't scratch them.
🤓 The "Fine Print" (Post-Credits Scene)
Before you hit "Play" on your order, here’s a little legal fan-fiction to keep things smooth :
⚪ Visual FX vs. Reality : Just like a CGI trailer, our photos are not contractual. Colors might vary slightly in print- think of it as a "Variant" in the Multiverse.
⚪ The "Popcorn" Incident : While our name is Popcorn Poster, the actual popcorn seen in the photos is just for show. It’s not included. If we shipped real popcorn, it would be as stale as a 20-year-old VHS tape by the time it reached you.
⚪ Lights, Camera... No Action : The lighting bar featured above our frames in the photos is for dramatic effect only. It’s not part of the package. You’ll have to bring your own "Stark Industries" tech to light up your walls!
⚪ The Fan Statement : We have no official affiliation with the brands, studios, or caped crusaders featured in our designs. We’re just enthusiasts -like Peter Parker with his camera - aiming to help culture flourish.
⚪ Copyright Protocol : If any brand or "Supreme Leader" prefers not to be highlighted in our gallery, please reach out to us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll remove it faster than a glitch in the Matrix.

Aluminum Frames: Because Wood is for Furniture Stores, Not Masterpieces

Paper So Premium, Even Rod Slater Would Trust It With His Gold
🎬 Why this Gold (1974) Poster is the Real Deal 🤩
The Gold (1974) poster has become an underground classic among serious film collectors, and there's scientific reasoning behind the hype. Directed by Peter R. Hunt with a stellar cast including Roger Moore, Susannah York, Ray Milland, and John Gielgud, this adventure thriller captures a pivotal moment in cinema when practical effects and genuine suspense trumped CGI spectacle.
The film's premise-a newly appointed mine manager uncovering a conspiracy to flood the Sonderditch gold mine for profit manipulation-resonates with contemporary audiences fascinated by 70s corporate intrigue and geopolitical tension. It's The Sting meets industrial thriller, wrapped in Technicolor sophistication and Roger Moore's incomparable charm.
What separates this poster from thousands of forgettable one-sheets is its visual composition. The theatrical artwork captures the film's dual nature: adventure and conspiracy, glamour and danger. Every element-from character placement to color psychology-tells the story of a man thrust into a world where greed runs deeper than any mine shaft.
Collectors recognize this poster as a time capsule of 1974's design sensibilities and cinema ambitions. It's not just decoration; it's documentary evidence that films once tackled complex narratives without needing a Marvel Cinematic Universe logo. The poster's rarity in pristine condition makes it increasingly valuable to serious collectors who understand that original theatrical posters from this era represent irreplaceable cultural artifacts.
Current market trends show exponential interest in 70s adventure cinema, particularly films featuring established A-list talent in unconventional roles. Moore's appearance here, during his earlier spy-thriller phase before becoming an international icon as James Bond, adds historical significance. This poster captures that specific moment when multiple career trajectories intersected at Sonderditch.
The restoration quality of this print ensures accurate color reproduction from the original artwork. Museum-grade materials mean this investment maintains its integrity for decades. Future collectors will recognize this as an essential piece of cinema history-the real gold isn't in the mine, it's on your wall.
🍿 Why you need a Gold (1974) poster on your wall 🤔
Listen, we all know that one person who actually saw Gold (1974) in theaters. They mention it casually at dinner parties. They bring it up when discussing underrated adventure films. They own the moral high ground of cinematic taste.
This poster proves you're part of that elite crew. Not because you watched it last week on streaming, but because you cared enough to display it permanently. This poster is your silent argument for sophisticated taste.
Think about what your walls currently say about you. Generic abstracts say 'I bought this at IKEA.' Marvel movie posters say 'I follow algorithms.' But a Gold (1974) poster? That says you've done the research. You've heard the whispers. You understand that Roger Moore's range extended far beyond tuxedos and martini quips. You appreciate that some films only improve with age, like fine wine or conspiracy theories.
Every visitor to your space will pause. They'll read the title. They'll wonder. They'll Google it later. Congratulations, you just became the person who introduces people to forgotten masterpieces. This poster is a conversation starter that separates collectors from decorators.
The visual composition immediately commands attention. Unlike mass-produced contemporary posters, this original theatrical artwork has personality, gravitas, and historical weight. Your guests will sense they're looking at something rare, something that matters. They'll ask where you found it, and you'll have the pleasure of explaining that you actually know how to curate.
This isn't an impulse purchase. This is a statement. This is proof. This is you telling the world that your aesthetic preferences aren't determined by what algorithms recommend. You saw the opportunity to own a piece of cinema history, and you took it. That's the kind of person worth knowing.
📼 Stop Scrolling 🤚 Own the Gold (1974) Collector's Print: Geeky Specs & Shipping
This isn't just paper. This is 240 g/m² heavyweight museum-quality stock that feels substantial the moment your fingers touch it. Professional archivists use this exact specification for projects designed to survive centuries, not decades. When you unfold this Gold (1974) poster, you're holding the same material quality found in art galleries and legitimate film archives.
The glossy finish delivers vibrant color reproduction that respects the original 1974 theatrical artwork. These aren't washed-out hues or digital approximations. Every shade of gold, every shadow in the mine scenes, every nuance of the cast's expressions emerges exactly as cinematographer John Wilcox intended. The deep blacks create genuine contrast, making the poster visually dynamic from any viewing distance.
Museum-grade ink meets archival paper, a combination that resists fading for decades even under direct sunlight. This poster won't yellow, won't bleach, won't degrade into a faded ghost of itself within five years. You're acquiring a document that maintains integrity.
Shipping accommodates all format options scientifically. A4 and A3 formats arrive absolutely flat in reinforced protective packaging with extra padding. Zero curls. Zero rolls. Zero compromises. These smaller formats slide perfectly into frames or storage without damage. Larger A2 and A1 formats require different handling, so they're carefully rolled in heavy-duty protective tubes designed for poster transportation. Industrial-grade materials prevent crushing, creasing, or moisture exposure during transit. The tube itself is reusable, essentially becoming archival storage.
Every format arrives ready for immediate framing. No special treatment required. No pressing needed. No restoration necessary. Just unbox, frame (or display if you're that confident), and appreciate. The paper's structural integrity ensures it handles framing equipment without buckling or warping. Aluminum frames grip securely. Standard frames accommodate perfectly.
This is how premium collectors receive premium merchandise. Not wrapped in plastic and indifference, but packaged with precision and respect for what you're acquiring. That's the difference between buying a poster and acquiring a collector's piece.
🎞️ Framing the Genius: Gold (1974)'s Visual Legacy
Gold (1974) operates within a specific visual language that defines mid-70s international cinema. Director Peter R. Hunt, known for his work on major productions, crafted a visual narrative that balances corporate intrigue with adventure spectacle. The cinematography emphasizes both intimate character moments and expansive landscape photography, primarily shot in South Africa where the Sonderditch mine serves as more than location-it's a character itself.
Color theory dominates the film's aesthetic. The titular gold influences the palette throughout: warm amber tones in scenes involving wealth and ambition, cooler blues in moments of deception and tension, and the earthy grays of industrial machinery representing the film's mechanical core. These aren't accidental color choices. The production design leverages chromatic psychology to subtly manipulate viewer emotion, making scenes of corporate villainy feel distinctly sinister through desaturated palettes, while adventure sequences burst with saturated warmth.
Art direction reflects 1974's specific visual sensibility. The film authentically captures the era's corporate environments: wood paneling, analog technology, and practical special effects that required genuine ingenuity. The mine sequences showcase real engineering, real mining operations, and real danger. This authenticity radiates through the visual composition, creating visceral tension that modern CGI often approximates but rarely achieves.
The poster artwork synthesizes these visual elements into a single iconic image. Character positioning mirrors the film's narrative hierarchy. Roger Moore's placement commands attention because his arc drives the story. Supporting cast members occupy space proportional to their narrative weight. Background elements-the mine, industrial equipment, hints of conspiracy-create visual depth that communicates the film's themes without dialogue.
Lighting in the poster artwork mimics cinematic lighting setups. Strategic shadowing creates dimensionality, while key light placement emphasizes facial expressions and builds dramatic tension. The composition demonstrates understanding of visual composition principles that separate professional theatrical artwork from fan-made alternatives. Every element serves the poster's function: to communicate the film's essence and compel exhibition attendance.
This poster represents the final era of hand-drawn theatrical artwork, before computer design dominated promotional materials. That craftsmanship-that specifically human touch-distinguishes genuine vintage cinema posters from modern reproductions. You're acquiring visual history created by designers who understood both cinema and graphic design as distinct disciplines operating in concert.
👀 Did You Know 🤯 Fun facts about Gold (1974)
Gold (1974) emerged during a fascinating intersection of geopolitical tension and cinema aesthetics. The 1970s obsession with government conspiracy and corporate malfeasance-fueled by actual Watergate revelations and genuine Cold War anxiety-found perfect expression in stories about international gold markets and industrial sabotage. Gold arrived at exactly the right cultural moment, when audiences actively believed corporations might execute elaborate schemes to manipulate global commodities.
Roger Moore's involvement presented interesting casting dynamics. Moore spent much of his early career establishing himself as a serious actor, distinct from his eventual James Bond persona. Gold represents Moore during this transition period, demonstrating dramatic range in a role that required genuine tension and vulnerability. He plays Rod Slater not as a quippy spy but as an ordinary professional caught in extraordinary circumstances. This performance choice influenced how audiences perceived Moore's capacity for dramatic work before his iconic spy role defined his career trajectory.
The filming locations in South Africa created unique production challenges and opportunities. Actual mining operations provided authentic backgrounds that studio sets couldn't replicate. The production team negotiated access to real mines, real mining equipment, and real mining personnel, lending documentary-style authenticity to sequences involving industrial operations. This practical approach created action sequences with genuine stakes, something contemporary audiences particularly appreciated.
John Gielgud's participation added prestige. One of cinema's most respected classical actors, Gielgud's involvement signaled that Gold aspired to serious filmmaking despite its adventure-thriller genre classification. His scenes carry gravitas that elevates surrounding material. Gielgud's casting communicated that this wasn't merely popcorn entertainment but a film with artistic ambitions.
The original theatrical release represented significant studio investment in an original adventure property. This wasn't based on existing intellectual property or established franchises. Studios rarely gambled on original material at this scale, making Gold a rarity among 1974 releases. The film's moderate success didn't generate sequels or franchises, preserving its singular identity. That uniqueness increasingly appeals to collectors seeking films that stand independently rather than existing as components of extended universes.
Contemporary film historians recognize Gold as representing a specific moment when international cinema audiences and American studios simultaneously embraced sophisticated adventure narratives with political undertones. It occupies a unique space-more intelligent than typical adventure fare, more entertaining than serious political thrillers. That perfect balance grew increasingly rare as 1970s gave way to 1980s action cinema dominated by different sensibilities and production philosophies.

🔄 What if I want to return my poster ?

🎨 Custom posters
Custom posters are non-returnable and non-refundable. They’re printed specifically for you, like a James Bond–tailored suit: once it’s made, it’s yours.
📦 Non-custom posters

🚚 Delivery issues (delay, lost or damaged package) If:
- Your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe
- Your package is lost
- Your poster arrives damaged
👉 contact us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll immediately work with the carrier (UPS®) to resolve the issue.
📅 Please note:
The carrier has a formal process and timeline to declare a package as lost, 15 days after the estimated delivery date. Before that, the package is officially still “in transit”.
⏳ Delivery delays & right to a refund
The right to a refund for delivery delays only applies if the delay is not caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond the seller’s control (weather conditions, strikes, exceptional events, etc.).
According to European Directive 2011/83/EU:
- If no fixed delivery time is specified (only an estimate),
- The seller must deliver the order within a reasonable timeframe, typically up to 30 days from the order confirmation
If this timeframe is exceeded, the seller is granted an additional one-week period to complete the delivery.
🎬 In short:
We never leave customers without support, but we also believe in solving things calmly, without a failed-season-finale level of drama.
Orders & Payments
Orders, payments & behind-the-scenes details (The part people skip… but shouldn’t)
💳 What payment methods do you accept ?
We keep it simple and secure 🔒
We accept:
- Credit & debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
All payments are 100% secure. Even Bruce Wayne would approve this checkout.
✏️ Can I change or cancel my order ?
Yes… and we’ve even built in a little flexibility 😌
👉 After payment, you have a 30-minute window to contact us if you’d like to:
- Change the poster size
- Switch the frame color
- Upgrade from unframed to framed
Because sometimes you realize after checkout that the black frame would look way better and that’s totally fine.
⏱️ After this 30-minute window, your order enters production. At that point, changes are no longer possible, kind of like trying to rewrite a movie after the end credits.
🖼️ Good to know about delivery:
- Framed posters arrive fully framed, ready to hang
- Unframed posters are carefully protected in a plastic protective film
- A4 and A3 unframed posters are shipped flat, not rolled, to prevent any deformation and ensure a perfect finish right out of the package
Our goal is simple:
to make sure your poster arrives fast, well-protected, and exactly how you imagined it, no bad surprises.
🧾 Will I receive an order confirmation and invoice ?
Absolutely 😌
After placing your order, you’ll receive:
- An order confirmation email
- An invoice with all details
If you don’t see it, check your spam folder (sometimes emails disappear like mail at Hogwarts).
Need a custom invoice? Just contact us.
💥 My order arrived damaged, what should I do ?
First: breathe 😌
Yes, it can happen. Even with the best carrier in the world, a delivery driver can have a bad day, be in a rush, or your package can go through a real adventure during transit.
👉 The good news:
Since working with UPS®, damaged packages are very rare.
Trust us… you don’t want to know how many emails we used to get with our previous carriers 😅
That problem is now solved thanks to:
- Stronger protection
- Better packaging
- Much more reliable delivery
But let’s be real :
Packages travel for several days. They can fall, be stacked, sometimes crushed… Honestly, we should put a GoPro inside a package to see what it goes through 🎥📦
🚚 When we hand packages over to UPS®, everything is perfect :
Paolo, our UPS® driver, comes by every day with a smile, packages leave well protected and damage-free. After that… they go on their journey.
👉 If you’re part of the 1% of cases where a package arrives damaged :
It’s not a big deal. it’s annoying (we agree), and trust me:
👉 if I ordered something and received it damaged, I’d be annoyed too.
Here’s what to do calmly 👇
- Take a photo of the package
- Take a photo of the poster
- Email us at hello@popcornposter.com
(with your order number, ex. #1001)
📩 Important - Customer support :
Our customer service is handled exclusively by email.
🙅♂️ Not via Instagram
🙅♂️ Not via TikTok
🙅♂️ And unfortunately… not by owls either ⚡🦉
Why ? Because email allows us to :
- Properly track your case
- Keep all information in one place
- Respond quickly and efficiently
📬 Marion checks emails every single day and replies to everyone.
If we have all the required info, within 24 hours, we’ll find a solution together, fast, and one that works for you.
🙏 Friendly advice :
- Please avoid ALL CAPS emails
- Avoid aggressive or entitled tones
Otherwise Marion gets angry… and I have to deal with her being angry all day 😡😅
Nobody wins.
If Marion solved your issue (and trust us, she really solves them all), please consider leaving a Trustpilot review mentioning her name: Marion isn’t ChatGPT, she reads every review, and she’ll absolutely love seeing her name mentioned with positive feedback 👀😇
🎬 Bottom line :
We ship dozens of packages every day, we do everything we can to make sure everything arrives perfectly, and when something goes wrong, we own it and fix it.
Simple, human, efficient. 🫶
❓ I haven’t received my order, what should I do?
First things first, something very important 👇 (No panic, this isn’t an episode of Lost.)
👉 Make sure you entered complete and accurate contact details when placing your order:
- Correct delivery address
- Valid email address
- Phone number
Without this information, even the best carrier in the world can’t work miracles.
📦 All orders are tracked via UPS®, and the tracking is (truly) extremely precise.
🎬 A quick look at your package’s journey:
- As soon as we create your shipping label and attach it to the package → Bam, email
- Every day around 12 PM, Paolo, our awesome UPS® driver, comes by to collect the parcels
- Before your package even enters his super truck, Paolo scans each parcel one by one → Bam, email
- When he drops your package at the UPS® logistics hub for proper routing → Quick scan, Bam email
👉 Result: you receive an email at every single movement of your package. Your poster is tracked more closely than a main character in a TV series.
🖨️ Important note for custom posters:
Custom posters may require up to 24 additional hours of processing, depending on demand. Why ?
Because this one isn’t in stock, we create it ourselves, specifically for you. Nothing to worry about, it may just take a little longer, and that’s completely normal.
⏳ Now, real-world shipping reality :
Delays can happen (weather conditions, logistics issues, unexpected events). It’s not common, but it happens.
👉 We only really start worrying after 7 business days (excluding weekends).
If that timeframe is exceeded, contact us and we’ll immediately open an investigation with UPS®.
🎬 Bottom line:
We never leave a customer without a solution, but we also avoid jumping to conclusions like a Netflix thriller after 10 minutes.
If you’re really worried about where your order might be hiding, send us an email at hello@popcornposter.com and Marion will take care of the investigation with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine 🕵️♂️🚐🍿
About Our Products
This is where we answer all the questions your brain asks while staring at a poster thinking : “Okay… but is it really that cool in real life?” Spoiler: it is.
🍿 What kind of posters do you sell ?
At Popcorn Poster, we don’t do “a bit of home decor.” We do cinema. A lot of cinema. Probably too much cinema. 🎬🍿
More specifically, our catalog includes thousands of movie and TV series posters, in multiple languages, sourced from cinemas all around the world.
Yes ! we’re talking about one of the largest movie poster catalogs in the world. And no, we’re not just saying that for fun (okay… maybe a little).
You’ll find posters from:
- 🎥 cult movies you can quote by heart
- 🏛️ timeless classics you deeply respect
- 🚀 recent films that blew your mind
- 📺 iconic TV series you binge-watched “just one episode”… until sunrise
And most importantly : 👉 in multiple languages, because cinema has never spoken just one.
🎞️ Where do our posters come from?
Our posters can be:
- Original cinema posters, used in theaters around the world
- Or high-quality reprints, when the original isn’t available in the size you choose
Either way, we’re obsessive about quality, so the final result looks amazing on your wall, not just accurate on paper.
🎬 What if I can’t find the movie or series of my dreams?
That’s exactly why we created CHOOSE YOUR MOVIE 🕶️ If you can’t find what you’re looking for :
- Simply type the movie or TV show name
- Choose the size
- And we take care of the rest
👉 No endless searching
👉 No comparing random websites
👉 No DIY headaches
You choose.
We print.
You receive your poster.
🎥 In short:
Popcorn Poster means:
- A massive catalog
- Worldwide cinema
- Thousands of references
- And the certainty that even if you don’t see it right away…
👉 your movie exists here.
🖨️ Is the print quality actually that good ?
Let’s be honest right from the start :
👉 these are probably the worst posters of all time. Blurry, poorly printed, dull colors… Basically, the kind of quality you’d expect from a movie filmed on a phone in the back row of a cinema in 2004.
…
Okay, obviously not 😄 If that were true, we’d be selling bootleg DVDs in a parking lot.
🎬 Let’s get serious (but not too serious)
Our posters are designed to last, not just look good in an Instagram story.
🖨️ For reprinted posters (when the original isn’t available in your chosen size) :
- We use eco-friendly, long-lasting, high-quality inks
- Resistant to time and light
- To avoid the “yellowing poster after a few months” effect
📄 The paper:
- 240g museum-grade paper
- Thick, premium feel
- Elegant matte finish
Definitely not thin paper that wrinkles if you breathe near it.
🖼️ The frames:
- Made of aluminum
- Lightweight once on the wall
- Won’t warp
- Won’t lose color over time
- Impressive lifespan
The kind of frame you hang, forget about, and still looks perfect years later.
🎞️ One important (and honest) thing to know
As you might expect :
👉 The older the movie, the more the print quality depends on the original source.
A movie poster from the 1970s:
- Won’t always look ultra-sharp 4K
- And that’s completely normal
It’s like watching The Godfather: Not Dolby Vision 2025, but that’s exactly part of its charm.
🎬 Bottom line:
Our posters are:
- Carefully printed
- Made with premium materials
- Designed to last
- And respectful of cinema history
Not a tired VHS, not fake overhyped 4K, but an honest, cinematic result, as it should be.
🖼️ Are the frames high quality ?
Let’s start with the truth: 👉 of course not.
We love wasting time, money, and energy selling terrible frames.
…
Okay, obviously no 😄 If that were the case, we’d do what everyone else does: cheap, fragile frames and “good luck assembling it yourself.”
🎬 A true story
At first, we used wooden frames. On paper, they looked nice. In real life? Not so much.
👉 Once on the wall, they warped over time.
👉 And during shipping… they could literally break apart.
So we made a simple decision:
🛑 stop using wood
✅ switch to aluminum
🖼️ Why aluminum?
Because:
- It’s lightweight (no Final Destination moment for your wall)
- It doesn’t warp
- It doesn’t yellow
- It keeps its color for years
- And has an impressive lifespan
🎬 In short:
frames built to last longer than most movie trilogies.
🛠️ And most importantly… no IKEA-style assembly
When you order a framed poster from Popcorn Poster,
👉 it arrives already framed, ready to hang.
Not like:
- Some poster sellers
- Or an IKEA piece you assemble on a Sunday night with one screw left over
We do the work for you.
🎨 What we actually do (and yes, it takes time)
- We select the frame (black, chrome, white…)
- Carefully place the poster inside
- Make sure no dust or hair sneaks in
- Wrap everything in our protective sleeves
- Place it in strong packaging
- And off it goes 🚚🍿
✨ The finish
Our frames have:
- A slightly matte finish
- With just a touch of shine
Once on the wall or on a shelf, it makes a real difference in a home. Because a poster isn’t just decoration.
It’s:
- An atmosphere
- A soul
- Your personality on display
