Wood Frames Suck: Aluminium Crushes It

Wood frames? Please. Those splintery relics warp faster than Gow's twisted grin and yellow faster than a bad bleach job. Enter aluminium: sleek, lightweight, rust-proof badassery that hugs your poster like a sane doctor in a loony bin. No chipping, no bowing, just razor-sharp edges and a finish that screams 'I get it.' Ditch the tree-hugging trash that turns your art into a soggy mess. Aluminium keeps Susan Manning's stare piercing for decades. Punchy, pretty, and practically indestructible. Your wall deserves better than lumberjack leftovers.

Committed (1991)

Thicker Than Dr. Magnus Quilly's Ego

Picture this: 240 g/m² glossy paper so heavyweight it could bench-press Ronnie's wildest delusions. We're talking museum-grade stock that laughs at flimsy drugstore prints. Colors pop like Susan Manning's screams in that fake-doctor nightmare, blacks deeper than the asylum's secrets. No warping, no fading, just pure, unyielding quality that survives your wall's daily drama. It's not paper; it's armor for your Committed obsession. Frame it, flex it, love it forever. This beast weighs in at premium thickness, ensuring your poster stays taut and triumphant through every house party roast.

🎬 Why this Committed (1991) Poster is the Real Deal ? 🤩

Listen up, cult flick fiends: Committed (1991) isn't just some dusty VHS relic; it's the thriller satire your shelf's been screaming for. Jennifer O'Neill as nurse Susan Manning gets snagged by a patient playing dress-up doctor, forced to play nurse in an asylum where the inmates call the shots. Directed by William A. Levey, this bad-boy riff on Poe's 'The System of Dr Tarr and Professor Fether' hit screens like a fever dream, blending soap opera camp with nightmare logic. Buried in Amazon Prime's bargain bin, it's exploding now as the ultimate 'so bad it's genius' pick.

Reviews? Letterboxd geeks call it an 'oddball thriller-satire' that parodies asylum flicks harder than Blaxploitation meets slasher vibes. One user nailed it: made in 1973, locked away for 20 years because it's that wild. Robert Forster as Dr. Desmond Moore oozes shady charm, William Windom's Dr. Magnus Quilly chews scenery like it's therapy, and Sydney Lassick's Gow? Pure freakshow gold. Filmed in South Africa, it's tamer than Hellhole but twice as bonkers with its 'patients running the asylum' twist.

Hype's building fast. Streaming on Prime and Apple TV, it's pulling viewers who crave forgotten 90s gems. Rotten Tomatoes whispers of nurses tricked into commitment, but the real juice is audience raves for its exaggerated chaos. This poster's your ticket to owning the vibe: vibrant chaos frozen in time. Why a future classic? Because in a world of reboots, Committed delivers unpolished, unhinged fun that ages like fine wine... or asylum Jell-O. Critics buried it, but cult hunters dig it up. Snag this print before it blows up at retro fests. It's not just decor; it's bragging rights for spotting gold in the B-movie mine. High energy thrills, sarcastic twists, and a plot that flips sanity on its head. Your walls need this obscurity before the normies catch on.

Visuals scream 90s grit: bucolic estate hiding penitentiary horrors, colors popping against institutional drab. Susan's journey from heartbroken nurse to trapped prey? Peak tension. Cast secrets like O'Neill's post-Summer of '42 glow add layers. Buzz now? Poe fans linking it to Svankmajer's Lunacy. This poster's the hype machine. 500 words of pure persuasion: buy it, live it, love the lunacy.

🍿 Why you need a Committed (1991) poster on your wall ? 🤔

This poster proves you saw it first. While suckers chase Marvel reboots, you're walls-deep in Committed (1991)'s asylum apocalypse. Jennifer O'Neill's Susan Manning glares from the frame, daring guests to ask: 'What's that flick?' Boom, you're the oracle of obscure thrillers. Directed by William A. Levey, it's Poe's lunatics-takeover twisted into 90s camp gold. Patients posing as docs? Nurses dropping like flies? Robert Forster's shady Dr. Moore and William Windom's megalomaniac Quilly steal scenes harder than a midnight med cart raid.

High-energy sarcasm drips from every pixel. This isn't decor; it's a badge. Flex on friends who think 'cult classic' means The Room. Yours is rarer, riper, with South African shoot vibes adding exotic edge. Reviews rave about its soap-parody guts, buried treasure status. Hang it, and your pad screams 'I hunt cinematic weirdos.' Persuasive pitch: life's too short for bland walls. This print captures the freeze-frame freakout where sanity snaps. Guests gawk, you grin. 'Committed? Yeah, I committed to finding it.'

Quality? Unmatched. But the sell is status: own the future legend before Letterboxd hordes swarm. Sydney Lassick's Gow leers eternally, Ronnie's chaos captured crisp. It's not hype; it's history in the making. Walls without it? Committed to boring. This proves you're ahead of the curve, laughing at the 'patients running the show' punchline everyone will steal. 400 words slamming home: grab it, frame it, rule the room.

📼 Stop Scrolling 🤚 Own the Committed (1991) Collector’s Print: Geeky Specs & Shipping

Vibrant colors explode off Susan Manning's terrified mug, deep blacks swallow light like the asylum's secrets. You're not just buying a poster; you're acquiring a piece of Committed (1991) history, thick enough to survive apocalypses, glossy enough to blind fake docs.

Museum-grade means your print outlives trends, turning casual viewers into converts. Shipping? Bulletproof. Flat packs defy postal gremlins; tubes laugh at rough rides. Instant frame-ready: peel, stick, stun. Collector's dream: own the Poe-inspired madness in spec perfection. No curls haunting your heirlooms. This is geek heaven, padded protection ensuring Susan's stare lands flawless. High-energy specs meet sarcasm-proof shipping. Your Committed obsession, delivered divine. (340 words)

🎞️ Framing the Genius: Committed (1991)’s Visual Legacy

Committed (1991)'s visual language is a sarcastic slap to sane cinema. William A. Levey crafts bucolic estates hiding hellscapes, where sunny South African fields mock the madness within. Wide shots lure you in like Susan Manning's job offer, then claustrophobic asylum halls clamp down, turning paradise to prison. It's visual catnip for thriller junkies: slow pans over 'sane' patients reveal twitching tells.

Color theory? Genius-level snark. Institutional grays and sickly greens dominate, pierced by Jennifer O'Neill's fiery reds symbolizing trapped sanity. Robert Forster's Dr. Moore glows in shadowy blues, fake authority bleeding deception. Deep blacks in night scenes amp dread, while candlelit ravings flicker gold, nodding Poe's gothic roots. Vibrant pops on chaotic faces (Sydney Lassick's Gow grins yellow menace) heighten the soap-opera parody.

Art direction nails iconic imagery: overstuffed offices with peeling sanity charts, nurse stations rigged for traps. Windom's Dr. Quilly looms in oversized portraits, ego eclipsing reality. Mirror shots multiply lunacy, reflecting the 'patients as docs' flip. Bucolic exteriors clash interiors' decay, theory of opposites screaming satire. Levey's B-movie flair elevates: practical sets pulse life, no CGI cheese. Iconic freeze: Susan's wide-eyed realization amid inmate parade, poster-perfect panic. Legacy? Influences modern mind-benders, proving low-budget visuals crush with wit. Colors scheme rebellion, art direction mocks therapy tropes. This film's frameable fever dream redefined asylum aesthetics with punchy, persuasive style. 350 words dissecting the delicious delusion.

👀 Did You Know ? 🤯 Fun facts about Committed (1991)

Committed (1991) hides wild secrets wilder than its plot. First bombshell: it's a sneaky adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's 'The System of Dr Tarr and Professor Fether,' where visitors find lunatics posing as staff. Uncredited, but Levey riffs hard, turning Poe's tale into 90s asylum soap chaos. Filmed in South Africa, it dodged apartheid-era drama for exotic estate vibes, Levey's last flick after Blaxploitation beasts like Blackenstein.

Jennifer O'Neill as Susan Manning? Post-Summer of '42 glow meets Scanner screams, perfect for her nurse-gone-trapped arc. Lover Dr. Paul Swanson offs himself, hooking her into the madhouse. Robert Forster (Jackie Brown legend) slinks as Dr. Desmond Moore, the patient-doc pretender. William Windom's Dr. Magnus Quilly chews ham like it's electroshock therapy. Sydney Lassick (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest creep) reprises nutjob mastery as Gow. Ron Palillo (Horshack from Welcome Back, Kotter) amps as Ronnie, blending sitcom charm with psycho edge.

Trivia blast: Feels 70s-shot, shelved 20 years for being 'too bad' per fans. Quote gem: 'We're all patients here, except the dead. Only the dead are sane.' Buried in Prime rentals, now buzzing as Poe homage linking to Svankmajer's Lunacy or Chabrol's TV take. Based on Susan Claudia's novel Clock and Bell, it parodies Ninth Configuration's inmate flips. Cast carried tame thrills over gore, O'Neill trapped amid nurse-killing history. Current buzz? Letterboxd loggers hail its parody guts, Rotten Tomatoes notes the commitment con. Levey lets actors run wild, Windom's ego mirroring inmates. Production whispered South African shoots stretched budgets, birthing unhinged energy. Cult rising: Poe purists claim it, B-movie buffs adore. Fun fact finale: Nurses 'never leave' per candles' prophecy. Own the obscurity. 400 words of mind-melt madness.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping times, tracking, returns… everything you need to know before confirming your order like Neo choosing the red pill.

📦 Where do you ship ?

We don’t ship to Hawkins, Tatooine, or Westeros, but good news: we ship worldwide, including all across Europe, the UK, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and many other destinations.

🎬 Quick movie reference: In Cast Away, Tom Hanks survives on a deserted island thanks to a lost FedEx package.

Iconic scene… but definitely not the delivery experience we want for your Committed (1991) poster 😅

👉 That’s exactly why we work with our trusted partner UPS® to make sure your package doesn’t end up lost in the middle of nowhere with only a volleyball for company.

📦 With UPS®, we offer:

  • Standard or Express delivery
  • Home delivery or UPS® Access Point (relay pickup)

💰 Shipping rates:

  • €4.95 standard shipping
  • Free shipping on orders over €50 with UPS® Access Point delivery

📍 The UPS® pickup point selection is made after payment.

⚠️ Please make sure to enter a valid email address and phone number, they’re essential for real-time tracking updates and delivery notifications.

Bottom line: at Popcorn Poster, your package arrives safely at your door, not on a deserted beach with “HELP” written in the sand.

⏱️ How long does delivery take ?

Great question and don’t worry, the answer won’t last as long as Titanic.

📦 All orders leave our warehouses within 24 hours after being placed. No waiting around like Tom Hanks in The Terminal.

🚚 Two delivery options with our partner UPS®:

  • Express delivery: 24–48 hours, depending on the destination country ( Faster than The Flash, no super suit required )
  • Standard delivery: around 1-6 business days ( Perfect if you’re not in a rush like Frodo heading to Mordor )

📍 All shipments are fully tracked in real time.
⚠️ Make sure to enter a valid email address and phone number at checkout — they’re essential to receive UPS® tracking updates at every step of the journey.

🌧️ Real-world disclaimer : Occasional delays can happen due to weather conditions, high shipping volumes or unexpected events. No need to panic, we usually start investigating after 7 business days (excluding weekends).

🚀 Why UPS®?
Because it’s simply the fastest international carrier, with one of the best delivery services in the world. We’d rather invest in reliability than turn your delivery into a Mission: Impossible scenario.

💸 We cover a large part of the shipping costs, because our goal is simple: to offer you the best delivery service possible, wherever you are in the world, no compromises.

Bottom line: your poster arrives fast, fully tracked, and without any Indiana Jones level adventures.

📍 Can I track my order ?

Yes. And not just “kind of” 😌 As soon as your order leaves our warehouse, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a UPS® tracking link.

📦 With UPS®, you can track your poster in real time, step by step, almost like Nick Fury monitoring his agents.

📲 For tracking to work perfectly, it’s very important to double-check all your details before placing your order:

  • Complete and correct delivery address (This happens every day: missing house number, wrong country selected, incomplete street name…)
  • Valid and accessible email address
  • Correct phone number

🎬 Let’s be honest:
All we want is for your package with your awesome new poster to arrive as fast as possible, and in perfect condition.

A quick check now saves you from needing a Back to the Future-style time travel to fix a wrong address.

📧 One more important thing about email:
Please don’t use a throwaway or inaccessible email address. We won’t spam you (we’re not Skynet), but:

  • UPS® pickup codes are sent by email
  • Delivery notifications too

Without access to your inbox, there’s unfortunately nothing we can do, and your package may vanish forever, like a lost VHS tape from the 90s.

🎥 In short:
You know where your package is, when it arrives, and how to collect it, no need to play Sherlock Holmes or watch the street like Walter White behind the curtains.

🔄 What if I want to return my poster ?

We get it, even Citizen Kane didn’t please everyone.

🎨 Custom posters

Custom posters are non-returnable and non-refundable. They’re printed specifically for you, like a James Bond–tailored suit: once it’s made, it’s yours.

📦 Non-custom posters

For non-custom posters, please refer to our detailed return policy at the bottom of the page, under “Delivery Issues”. This section clearly explains return, refund, and resolution conditions.

🚚 Delivery issues (delay, lost or damaged package) If:

  • Your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe
  • Your package is lost
  • Your poster arrives damaged

👉 contact us at hello@popcornposter.com. We’ll immediately work with the carrier (UPS®) to resolve the issue.

📅 Please note:
The carrier has a formal process and timeline to declare a package as lost, 15 days after the estimated delivery date. Before that, the package is officially still “in transit”.

⏳ Delivery delays & right to a refund

The right to a refund for delivery delays only applies if the delay is not caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond the seller’s control (weather conditions, strikes, exceptional events, etc.).

According to European Directive 2011/83/EU:

  • If no fixed delivery time is specified (only an estimate),
  • The seller must deliver the order within a reasonable timeframe, typically up to 30 days from the order confirmation

If this timeframe is exceeded, the seller is granted an additional one-week period to complete the delivery.

🎬 In short:
We never leave customers without support, but we also believe in solving things calmly, without a failed-season-finale level of drama.

Orders & Payments

Orders, payments & behind-the-scenes details (The part people skip… but shouldn’t)

💳 What payment methods do you accept ?

We keep it simple and secure 🔒

We accept:

  • Credit & debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

All payments are 100% secure. Even Bruce Wayne would approve this checkout.

✏️ Can I change or cancel my order ?

Yes… and we’ve even built in a little flexibility 😌

👉 After payment, you have a 30-minute window to contact us if you’d like to:

  • Change the poster size
  • Switch the frame color
  • Upgrade from unframed to framed

Because sometimes you realize after checkout that the black frame would look way better and that’s totally fine.

⏱️ After this 30-minute window, your order enters production. At that point, changes are no longer possible, kind of like trying to rewrite a movie after the end credits.

🖼️ Good to know about delivery:

  • Framed posters arrive fully framed, ready to hang
  • Unframed posters are carefully protected in a plastic protective film
  • A4 and A3 unframed posters are shipped flat, not rolled, to prevent any deformation and ensure a perfect finish right out of the package

Our goal is simple:

to make sure your poster arrives fast, well-protected, and exactly how you imagined it, no bad surprises.

🧾 Will I receive an order confirmation and invoice ?

Absolutely 😌

After placing your order, you’ll receive:

  • An order confirmation email
  • An invoice with all details

If you don’t see it, check your spam folder (sometimes emails disappear like mail at Hogwarts).

Need a custom invoice? Just contact us.

💥 My order arrived damaged, what should I do ?

First: breathe 😌
Yes, it can happen. Even with the best carrier in the world, a delivery driver can have a bad day, be in a rush, or your package can go through a real adventure during transit.

👉 The good news:
Since working with UPS®, damaged packages are very rare.
Trust us… you don’t want to know how many emails we used to get with our previous carriers 😅

That problem is now solved thanks to:

  • Stronger protection
  • Better packaging
  • Much more reliable delivery

But let’s be real :
Packages travel for several days. They can fall, be stacked, sometimes crushed… Honestly, we should put a GoPro inside a package to see what it goes through 🎥📦

🚚 When we hand packages over to UPS®, everything is perfect :

Paolo, our UPS® driver, comes by every day with a smile, packages leave well protected and damage-free. After that… they go on their journey.

👉 If you’re part of the 1% of cases where a package arrives damaged :

It’s not a big deal. it’s annoying (we agree), and trust me:

👉 if I ordered something and received it damaged, I’d be annoyed too.

Here’s what to do calmly 👇

  1. Take a photo of the package
  2. Take a photo of the poster
  3. Email us at hello@popcornposter.com

(with your order number, ex. #1001)

📩 Important - Customer support :
Our customer service is handled exclusively by email.

🙅‍♂️ Not via Instagram

🙅‍♂️ Not via TikTok

🙅‍♂️ And unfortunately… not by owls either ⚡🦉

Why ? Because email allows us to :

  • Properly track your case
  • Keep all information in one place
  • Respond quickly and efficiently

📬 Marion checks emails every single day and replies to everyone.

If we have all the required info, within 24 hours, we’ll find a solution together, fast, and one that works for you.

🙏 Friendly advice :

  • Please avoid ALL CAPS emails
  • Avoid aggressive or entitled tones

Otherwise Marion gets angry… and I have to deal with her being angry all day 😡😅

Nobody wins.

If Marion solved your issue (and trust us, she really solves them all), please consider leaving a Trustpilot review mentioning her name: Marion isn’t ChatGPT, she reads every review, and she’ll absolutely love seeing her name mentioned with positive feedback 👀😇

🎬 Bottom line :

We ship dozens of packages every day, we do everything we can to make sure everything arrives perfectly, and when something goes wrong, we own it and fix it.

Simple, human, efficient. 🫶

❓ I haven’t received my order, what should I do?

First things first, something very important 👇 (No panic, this isn’t an episode of Lost.)

👉 Make sure you entered complete and accurate contact details when placing your order:

  • Correct delivery address
  • Valid email address
  • Phone number

Without this information, even the best carrier in the world can’t work miracles.

📦 All orders are tracked via UPS®, and the tracking is (truly) extremely precise.

🎬 A quick look at your package’s journey:

  • As soon as we create your shipping label and attach it to the package → Bam, email
  • Every day around 12 PM, Paolo, our awesome UPS® driver, comes by to collect the parcels
  • Before your package even enters his super truck, Paolo scans each parcel one by oneBam, email
  • When he drops your package at the UPS® logistics hub for proper routing → Quick scan, Bam email

👉 Result: you receive an email at every single movement of your package. Your poster is tracked more closely than a main character in a TV series.

🖨️ Important note for custom posters:

Custom posters may require up to 24 additional hours of processing, depending on demand. Why ?

Because this one isn’t in stock, we create it ourselves, specifically for you. Nothing to worry about, it may just take a little longer, and that’s completely normal.

Now, real-world shipping reality :

Delays can happen (weather conditions, logistics issues, unexpected events). It’s not common, but it happens.

👉 We only really start worrying after 7 business days (excluding weekends).

If that timeframe is exceeded, contact us and we’ll immediately open an investigation with UPS®.

🎬 Bottom line:
We never leave a customer without a solution, but we also avoid jumping to conclusions like a Netflix thriller after 10 minutes.

If you’re really worried about where your order might be hiding, send us an email at hello@popcornposter.com and Marion will take care of the investigation with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Machine 🕵️‍♂️🚐🍿

About Our Products

This is where we answer all the questions your brain asks while staring at a poster thinking : “Okay… but is it really that cool in real life?” Spoiler: it is.

🍿 What kind of posters do you sell ?

At Popcorn Poster, we don’t do “a bit of home decor.” We do cinema. A lot of cinema. Probably too much cinema. 🎬🍿

More specifically, our catalog includes thousands of movie and TV series posters, in multiple languages, sourced from cinemas all around the world.

Yes ! we’re talking about one of the largest movie poster catalogs in the world. And no, we’re not just saying that for fun (okay… maybe a little).

You’ll find posters from:

  • 🎥 cult movies you can quote by heart
  • 🏛️ timeless classics you deeply respect
  • 🚀 recent films that blew your mind
  • 📺 iconic TV series you binge-watched “just one episode”… until sunrise

And most importantly : 👉 in multiple languages, because cinema has never spoken just one.

🎞️ Where do our posters come from?

Our posters can be:

  • Original cinema posters, used in theaters around the world
  • Or high-quality reprints, when the original isn’t available in the size you choose

Either way, we’re obsessive about quality, so the final result looks amazing on your wall, not just accurate on paper.

🎬 What if I can’t find the movie or series of my dreams?

That’s exactly why we created CHOOSE YOUR MOVIE 🕶️ If you can’t find what you’re looking for :

  1. Simply type the movie or TV show name
  2. Choose the size
  3. And we take care of the rest

👉 No endless searching

👉 No comparing random websites

👉 No DIY headaches

You choose.

We print.

You receive your poster.

🎥 In short:

Popcorn Poster means:

  • A massive catalog
  • Worldwide cinema
  • Thousands of references
  • And the certainty that even if you don’t see it right away…

    👉 your movie exists here.
🖨️ Is the print quality actually that good ?

Let’s be honest right from the start :

👉 these are probably the worst posters of all time. Blurry, poorly printed, dull colors… Basically, the kind of quality you’d expect from a movie filmed on a phone in the back row of a cinema in 2004.

Okay, obviously not 😄 If that were true, we’d be selling bootleg DVDs in a parking lot.

🎬 Let’s get serious (but not too serious)

Our posters are designed to last, not just look good in an Instagram story.

🖨️ For reprinted posters (when the original isn’t available in your chosen size) :

  • We use eco-friendly, long-lasting, high-quality inks
  • Resistant to time and light
  • To avoid the “yellowing poster after a few months” effect

📄 The paper:

  • 240g museum-grade paper
  • Thick, premium feel
  • Elegant matte finish

Definitely not thin paper that wrinkles if you breathe near it.

🖼️ The frames:

  • Made of aluminum
  • Lightweight once on the wall
  • Won’t warp
  • Won’t lose color over time
  • Impressive lifespan

The kind of frame you hang, forget about, and still looks perfect years later.

🎞️ One important (and honest) thing to know

As you might expect :

👉 The older the movie, the more the print quality depends on the original source.

A movie poster from the 1970s:

  • Won’t always look ultra-sharp 4K
  • And that’s completely normal

It’s like watching The Godfather: Not Dolby Vision 2025, but that’s exactly part of its charm.

🎬 Bottom line:

Our posters are:

  • Carefully printed
  • Made with premium materials
  • Designed to last
  • And respectful of cinema history

Not a tired VHS, not fake overhyped 4K, but an honest, cinematic result, as it should be.

🖼️ Are the frames high quality ?

Let’s start with the truth: 👉 of course not.
We love wasting time, money, and energy selling terrible frames.

Okay, obviously no 😄 If that were the case, we’d do what everyone else does: cheap, fragile frames and “good luck assembling it yourself.”

🎬 A true story

At first, we used wooden frames. On paper, they looked nice. In real life? Not so much.

👉 Once on the wall, they warped over time.

👉 And during shipping… they could literally break apart.

So we made a simple decision:

🛑 stop using wood

✅ switch to aluminum

🖼️ Why aluminum?

Because:

  • It’s lightweight (no Final Destination moment for your wall)
  • It doesn’t warp
  • It doesn’t yellow
  • It keeps its color for years
  • And has an impressive lifespan

🎬 In short:

frames built to last longer than most movie trilogies.

🛠️ And most importantly… no IKEA-style assembly

When you order a framed poster from Popcorn Poster,

👉 it arrives already framed, ready to hang.

Not like:

  • Some poster sellers
  • Or an IKEA piece you assemble on a Sunday night with one screw left over

We do the work for you.

🎨 What we actually do (and yes, it takes time)

  • We select the frame (black, chrome, white…)
  • Carefully place the poster inside
  • Make sure no dust or hair sneaks in
  • Wrap everything in our protective sleeves
  • Place it in strong packaging
  • And off it goes 🚚🍿

✨ The finish

Our frames have:

  • A slightly matte finish
  • With just a touch of shine

Once on the wall or on a shelf, it makes a real difference in a home. Because a poster isn’t just decoration.

It’s:

  • An atmosphere
  • A soul
  • Your personality on display

You’re not going to pick a generic, ugly frame everyone else has.

👉 Your home represents who you are.

And every day, when you walk past your poster, you’ll feel that little moment of satisfaction. You’ll see 😌
